Rancher: air box does not line up with carb

I have a 2002 rancher 350 its been running fine for the past few years. Today I started up and fuel continued to pour out of bowl drain. (that’s not my concern here) When I went to investigate I noticed that the air filter box which holds the filter doesn’t even line up with the carburetor. Its about an inch higher leaving a gap. Any thoughts? Thanks for any help

2006 500 HO Bogs down in mud.

I could use some I help.
I have a 2006 sportsman 500 HO. It has started to loose power and bog down when going through mud in high gear with AWD on or off, however if I shift into low it runs great. I assumed it was a carb issue until I tried low gear and can’t figure out why it looses power in high gear but not in low. Anyone else have a similar experience?
Thanks

Quad Caught Fire and BURNED!!!!!!

Helo everyone,

The main reason for me joining this forum is to warn as many people as possible about Powermax Atvs. I know this is an Honda Forum but you maybe sharing your trails and other ATV riding areas with Powermax ATV’s.

Do you own a Powermax Atv ? Or Do you know someone who owns a Powermax ATV ?

Powermax Atv’s are now being monitored by Transport Canada for serious electrical problems, gas leaks, trottle sticking and other serious problems like these. They are also being monitered by Rick Noseworthy, The Newfoundland director for the all terrain vehicle council of Canada as well as Vice President of the Trailways council.

This was a brand new 2013 700 Powermax Atv was purchased in Gander, Newfoundland and it had serious problems such has the trottle sticking , gas leaks and electrical problems from just 55 km to approximately 900 km. It caught fire and burned.

If there are more Powermax Atvs being used on our trails and forest it is not just the owners of Powermax Atvs that maybe in danger but you and your family could be seriously hurt or killed if there are more Powermax ATVs with these serious problems being used.

I have found other Powermax Customers that have had serious problems with their Powermax ATV.

If you would like to report a Powermax Atv to Transport Canada please let me know and let me know and I will help you do that for free

Sportsman 500 clutch balance

I’ve been lurking for a while and have gotten a bunch of knowledge from the site.

I have a 2011 Sportsman 500 HO non EBS. I was replacing the spring in the primary clutch and put 3 marks so I would remember how to reinstall the clutch cover. When I wiped off all the belt dust the mark on the clutch cover was wiped off!

The spider has a stamped x on it but the cover only has some blue marker and green marker that doesn’t seem to be of any significance.

Any advice? I can always just reinstall the clutch cover three times to see what shakes less. But don’t want to do more damage.

I called the Polaris dealer and asked if they know anyone in the Athens, GA area that could balance a clutch and he had never heard of such a thing.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
