1988 TRX350D top end rebuild

It was the CDI!

New CDI installed and the bike started up easily (included break-in oil with the new oil/filter). The idle was high and the carb needs some tuning work, but I was happy to hear the engine run and run pretty well. Truly grateful for the help from these forums.

I tried to upload some pictures of the project and the plastics. Don’t know if it worked. As can be seen, the pics are from prior to top end build.

Does anyone know of an extended idle set screw (Keihin) to aid in adjusting the idle (tired of burning my hands!). I have seen a couple that look like they would work, but a part number would help greatly. I think I am going to rebuild my rebuilt carburetor with the Shindy’s kit that I ordered upon recommendation.

I have a video of the running project I will try to post.

Thanks again for all the help and progress is happening. Now I need to find a cheap set of tires so I can take it through the gears.

Hel me win a contest

My local Polaris dealer is holding a contest, they want people to show them a picture of their Polaris rides. Their first price is a Northstar cooler.

Just go to Facebook and look for Elliff Polaris and like my post "Lucas" I have my wife’s, RZR S, my son’s Phoenix and my Ranger 900….. and my dog Lola who decided to make a cameo lol.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

570L Back to dealer

Welp next Friday I drop off a quad with 100 miles on it at the dealer
Having them check the shifter that came out of adjustment and ground low once or twice
as well as if I try to blip the throttle a few times the quad loads up and tries to shut off.
also the oil has a strong gassy smell.
Wish me luck call me picky but I expect everything perfect at the end of my warranty.

2014 Rancher ES 4×4 has a ticking noise coming from the rear end.

I recently purchased a 2014 Rancher Es 4×4 that only has 140 miles on it. There is a ticking or a clanking noise coming from the rear end. A clevis on the hitch receiver is what i chalked it up to initially. Then I took that off and realized it wasn’t the noise. Hopefully that gives you a better idea of the sound it’s making. The oil was changed at 140 as soon as i got it and nothing seemed out of the ordinary with the oil or filter. I know the previous owner and the bike has only been used for light farm work and hunting, so it hasn’t been ridden hard. The noise seems to be random when it occurs. I’m not familiar with Honda’s dual clutch system, so i don’t know if it is a normal sound or if i should be concerned. Any help is appreciated!
