Got the outlander on a trade for my 2007 Polaris Ranger.
How I got it
Came with:
29.5×12 Outlaws
Itp Rims
HMF slip on exhaust
Cheap strobes in the headlights
Full skid plate and LCA guards
And a snorkel kit that was half apart
First thing I did was resnorkle it. Original one was one pipe on either side of the front plastics and one through the gauge housing. So I removed all the old stuff and started over from a thread on here. Now all the pipes collect in the gauge housing.
Painted the visible pipes black
Next I installed some accent leds to make night rides fun. There is around 35 RGB led pods with 4 5050 smd leds in each pod
Added a set of 35w 5k hids from Longshot Lighting. Also a new super atv winch with synthetic rope around the same time. The original warn was all seized up and caked with dried up mud.
Got some led cubes from Longshot as well. They are 2×3 led cubes
Then because I love lights added a 30" radius light bar to the front it, also from Longshot. Also added a rear seat for my girlfriend to stay put while out on rides.
Then decided to go up a little so I’d stop rubbing on the frame at full lock. Went with ATV Engineering LLC lift. It was identical to the Highlifter and Super ATV but for half the cost. Purchased a flag and mount as well for day riding.
Finally thought the glow whips were really cool but couldn’t see paying the price for a set of 2. So looked it up and found a torturial of a guy making them. Spent around 80 for everything needed to make them. Wired them to my leds so that they will be the same color.
Next mods will be either a brp or rubber down customs radiator relocator because I like that the pivot and can still access the fuse box. Also want to go with a larger lift. Either a CATVOS or Gorilla lift.
I just bought back our 02 300 ex that we sold 10 years ago.Reverse and netural light both not working. I have not looked into it too much. Is there a common problem that would cause them to both not work. Very low hrs on it.
Does a 02 300ex have a crush washer on drain plug? Just drained the oil and there was no crush washer. If it does has anyone been able to get one from an auto parts store? Dealer is closed till Monday. Anyone know the exact size. ID and Od. Thank you.
While bike is running can’t go into or out of reverse. With motor off shifts freely. Blew out and sprayed primary. Rollers roll with no apparent flat spots. I had similar issue in a 570 and changed the clutch bearing problem solved. Any suggestions? Should I change bearing it seems to roll smooth.
I have my dealer down to 23,500 plus tax on the desert edition which is cheaper than I can buy all the stuff for a normal 1000 XP. I am having him add the glass w/s, poly back panel, winch 4500lb, and MTX 50 amp radio for a total of 27,200 out the door tax everything. What are everyone’s thoughts?? IS this a ridiculous idea and in a year my thinking the Desert ED. will be worth more at resale than just putting 26 in a normal XP with the same accessories. I love everything the Desert Ed. has so I would add everything to a normal so no need in making it personalized to me because I love it the way it is with the few add’s mention above.
So I was going to go out for a ride with my dad today on the 570’s and I started mine and the check engine light started flashing and read an error code 0520194/2 looked it up in the book and it says throttle sensor, sensor out of range. So I shit off the engine and looked around it and discovered a slurry of oil and coolant leaking out just above the Polaris industries sticker between the cooling jacket and block. Me being pissed off walked around the machine and opened the oil dipstick and discovered a foamy froth inside, so now I want to know how hard it is to change the gasket once I’m down to just the engine if I should get an aftermarket gasket and what might have caused this. There’s only 5 hours on the new oil change I run 5w-50 full synthetic castrol, it has 28in tires and a uni filter, there’s 2000km’s on it. Oh one more thing how do I know nothing else in the engine was damaged what do I look for?

Has anyone had any good luck with there polaris cooler. I’m thinking about getting one so I don’t have to deal with the strapping one down. And I want to fit alot of cans in it also…. at least a 30 pack of soda pop of course. ..lol
