Clutch cover

Cleaned out my clutch yesterday. Everyone is always saying to not over tighten the cover bolts. Don’t know if this is new for this year or not. Or if it’s always been this way. I noticed there is a threaded metal sleeve for the bolts. Also I only removed one panel to get at the top bolts. Didn’t have to remove any others. Cover came off pretty easy and reinstalled easy too. Thought I would just share. Thanks

super coon!

OK so got this in an email today, and made me laugh, as I thought only squirrels did this stuff !
none of my coons are this smart and I am thankful, as I have several feeders set up like this, to keep away from the bears!

New Sportsman Owner From AR

Hello folks, I’m not new to atv’s but new to Polaris. I just picked up a 1994 Sportsman 400 4×4 that is in pretty great condition. Everything seems to work as it should, with the exception of the brake pads seem to be worn down, so that is my first order of business along with fluid changes. It does have a 3 point hitch on the rear that works fine along with a box blade attachment. I look forward to getting all the maintenance taken care of and spending some time on this thing. Is there anything in particular that I need to look out for or pay attention to on this particular model? Thanks in advance.

Buying a shop jack and stands advice

Good Morning all! I have done a couple of searches and can’t find what I am looking to learn.

I am getting ready to buy a shop jack and stands and need some advice. With the long travel and the high clearance of the 1K, I would think I need something that will lift high. I won’t be using this jack for anything other than working on the RZR, so don’t want to spent a lot of money on it.

Any advice or pictures of your set ups would be very apprecitated-Thanks! :ride:

What did I break?

Went out riding yesterday and when we loaded up, I noticed this thick grease all around the front wheel. I dont see anything broken but obviously something happened. Does anyone have an idea of what it could be and where the grease came from? Pics attached. Thanks.
