Yep, this bad boy is all new to me. I’ve always been and still riding motorcycles. Live within 20 miles of two ATV parks just down the road. One is 4100 acres and the other about 1200 acres. Couple of weeks ago I set out to go get a new YZ 450F motocross bike. After walking in and seeing the Can Am Quad’s I got to thinking at the age of 48 maybe I should give something a try that’s not so hard on me. So on a whim I choose the Can Am Outlander 650 XT in brushed aluminum. Must say I’m impressed with this Can Am in everyway. It looks good parked next to the Harley Davidson Breakout in the shop. I had been on 3 wheelers back in the 70’s and early 80’s but never a Quad. Anyway its good to find this forum as I’ve got some catching up to do……

new to forum just ran our Rancher first time since sitting through winterhad it warming up while I raked leafs it died while idling it was low on gas so I added the last gallon I had from the snowblower gas good gas and tried to start idled for a couple seconds wouldn’t take any throttle and died again and back fired tried to restart and it wouldn’t start and when I stopped cranking it over it backfired again letting it rest now and will check plug tomorrow

Just curious what others are packing along on the utility quads when hitting the trails. I just purchased a large storage box that is mounted to the rear rack. What are some of your essential items besides "refreshments"?
Help—purple 2005 atp!
I’m a new member here-Howdy! I just bought a 2005 ATP 500 that only has 340 miles on it, but it looks like it’s spent it’s whole life parked outside. The camo is in great shape-EXCEPT it’s turned a lovely shade of Purple and the black plastic on the bed and front rack is very weathered and has a silvery sheen. If you rub your hand on it-it will leave a black film. My question is- is there anything that can be done to fix the oxidised black plastic? and are the camo graphics painted on or are they a vinyl covering? How to Un-Purple it? (my Grand Daughters love the color, but I’m not sure I can get used to it…) Thanks in advance for any advice.

The truth, is it worth it mounting ATV tires at home?
Looking at getting new tires for my recon. Most places will not touch my tires unless purchased by them. $20 to $25 per tire is the point rate.
i am having trouble getting over $100 for tire mounting. Just had a total PI lawn mower tire mounting issue this past week. Beads were no where near rim to seat. For $10 mounting well worth it IMO. How do ATV tires compair?
