New from Northern MN

Hey everyone, my name’s Mike from Grand Rapids, MN. I’ve got a 2004 Traxter Max XT 500 Autoshift 2up. I joined this forum because I’m having issues with it (honesty is the best policy).

I’m not posting the issues in this thread – I’m just saying "Hi."

I look forward to meeting some of you and figuring out how to fix my ATV 🙂

Thanks!

Mike

Rear wheel bearing in question

2013 Sportsman XP 850 EPS with 5000 miles and haven’t had any issues to date, great machine. Greasing the machine after a long weekend I noticed that the left rear wheel has noticeable wobble top and bottom and left to right compared to the right rear. I haven’t noticed and noise or squeaking when riding. The wheel seems to roll freely when off the ground.

My guess is a bad bearing, after describing my findings would this guess be correct?

Correct Jet Needle Configuration

I’m rebuilding my stock 660 carb and bought a moose rebuild kit. In the bag that has parts for jet needle there was a spring, metal washer, plastic washer, e-clip and a rubber washer. What is the correct order for these parts. The service manual doesn’t show and at first I thought the o-ring was for the plug but it only fits on the needle it’s to small for the plug. here is the way I have it?? The needle that was in my quad only had plastic washer, two metal washers and e-clip

Christmas came early!

Just came in today. Rox risers for the white grizz. Picked up the powermad hand guards over a month ago but wanted to wait to instal them with the rox mounts and risers. Had to wait for rox to get the 2016+ kits available and ordered to second I received the email they were ready. Took two weeks to get here to the west coast of Canada. Also have some new heat demon grip and thumb warmers that I got two weeks ago to go on also. All just waited for my kit that is finally here ! Yes! Rox better get on more kits because once the guys around here see these thing they won’t be able to keep em on the shelves.

1st Quad at 68 years old ! ! !

Hello all;

Today is my 68th birthday; and I just bought a 2006 Sportsman 500 EFI X2. I’ve ridden quads before, but this is MY 1st one.

I’ve been lurking here occasionally while I was shopping for my quad. Hope to absorb all the good tech info and advice offered here; and eventually maybe contribute something meaningful along the way!

My first serious problem is finding legit places to ride in my neck of the woods (Fredericksburg, VA).
