Top speed problem

I have an 09 sportsman 850xp when I first got it I was only able to go 56mph found a burnt belt and replaced it still only able to get 56mph didn’t matter 2wd or 4wd …figured maybe springs in clutches are weak so got a QSC kit and lost 4mph now I’m at 50-52mph. Found battery was weak needed replaced so I recently replaced it and no difference 52mph at best. Any other ideas on what could be the problem? Filter is clean uni filter tires are stock 26" stock steel wheels no winch and also has no engine light codes either.

I’m at wits end with this thing, wanting to XC race it next year and will the the top speed for the long field sections.

Thanks for any help.

I have searched the forums for weeks tying to find a similar issue and haven’t been able to find one.

Front diff problems

Hello everyone
I have a 08 grizzly 700, yesterday i tried diff lock but it would not lock for me. Today i went out to look at the front end and the axle where it goes into the diff moves side to side when you would think it would be more ridged. Anyone know what could be happening? How hard is it to pull the front diff? Would it be better to order a good used one or rebuild mine?
Thank you for your time and any help you offer
Matt

1100 big bore and new cam options released

Been working and testing a lot lately (some people call it playing) but…. The 1100 kit has been in the works for awhile. I’ve had a few calls cause the cat got out of the bag early. It’s an all forged bolt-on big bore kit ready for the "Nitrous North". :welcome3:http://www.griffinperformance.net/ap…s/show/7216944
We are also now offering a drop in cam/Stage 1 and have redone the performance cams which are now a Stage 2. Hope you guys enjoy… let me know if i can help you. http://www.griffinperformance.net/ap…s/show/5481227

Mud guard?

Behind the rear wheels in back of the break rotor there is a plastic shield with what looks like metal scrapers on it. I believe it was for scraping mud/debris out of the stock rims. Took the back wheel of today and found that they are pretty much busted off. Now I’m running aftermarket wheels and was wondering if these guards do anything. Should I replace them or just remove them permanently.

Thanks,

Jim

2005 800 EFI problems!!! you don’t say!

Hello guys/gals, I have an 05 Sportsman 800 EFI, it’s been giving me hell lately and I’ve corrected all but one code which is:
22 TPS Circuit: Open or Short to Ground
22 TPS Circuit: Short to Battery

Now I’ve found the wire that gets continuity to ground, traced the entire length with no signs of chaffing/cuts/etc. what am I looking at to fix this issue because I’m at my wits end with this bike.:banghead:

Any opinions, or experience is welcome, I need to get this sorted out as we are going camping at the local mud park in two weeks and I’ve got all our quads but mine running in top shape.
