Got a really good deal on a 14 model at my local Yamaha dealer who I have been dealing with for many years. bought it out the door for less then a hundred over what was hanging on the handlebar tag. Got a little over 30 miles on it so far breaking it in and had to change up the air filter set up, just an overall bad design from Yamaha on this model and many others all through the years how the filter slides and wedges down in place. I found a custom aluminum intake for an import tuner that I modded down to an exact fit on my belt sander. Now it takes a Uni clamp on Pod filter, filter is slid on around an inch or so and clamped securely. I also went up one pilot jet size from a 17.5 to a 20 and also one up on the main jet from a 132.3 I believe it was to a 135 and put a free’er flowing end cap on it from my old 07 Wolverine, I also did the carb spring modd as well, really crispened up the throttle response. Runs way better then new now, lots of fun to ride and exhaust now has a nice thump to it. Here are a few pics including my custom intake.
