Buying Polaris Big Mistake?

I ride in a group and 3 of us bought new machines last summer, with my purchase the last. All of us were riding Polaris Sportsman’s. The other two went with the crowd, in my group, and bought Can-Am Maverick’s and I was the lone hold out and got the RZR XP 1000.
Now they are the big riders with free time and probably have double the mileage on their machines but no troubles. I had a transmission leak, that was fixed. When fixing the leak they found the newly installed clutch cover was warped and so they replaced that. Again just normal maintenance for my friends.
All of that no trouble stuff happens right. So here is the real problem. I have had it in twice with a concern the front shocks are sagging and on this latest visit the dealer agrees. Mind you I have less then 1000 miles on this machine and the Can-Am’s around me have far greater, with all of us riding the same terrain. So the dealer contacts Polaris and Warranty company and get’s nowhere. Actually the first comment is I can offer you upgraded shocks. Excuse me???? I spent $20K 8 months ago and now you want to soak me for another few thousand? But wait my dismay got better. The response I was told from Polaris is that the shocks are a serviceable item that requires a rebuild every 1000 miles, at my cost of course. So my off road vehicle has a suspension that cannot deal with off road driving?
Well I read the book and it does state inspect the seals at 1000 miles, which are not leaking. My problem is it appears the nitrogen charge is gone and to be honest I think that was case from day one but I cannot prove it.
Well as it stands now I am still trying to work with dealer to get corrected but if this is not to my satisfaction rest assured I will follow the crowd on next purchase and go with something that has a suspension to take a few bumps in the road.

Q & A please…

Ok so I made the 9 hour round trip to abernathys…not as bad as I thought in my 2 dr jeep. Still long though, ugh. Got home at 11:30 pm!
Shae the salesman told me a couple things that puzzled me. First if you leave the key on for more than five min. your eps will shut down and have to be taken to dealer to be turned back on….huh?? And when driving less than 20 mph you have to put it in low gear or the belt will get too loose and get screwed up….
When we strapped it on the trailer the only place it seemed you could put the straps in the front was on the bumper….so what if you don’t have a bumper where do you strap it? He didn’t know…
And he took the cover off the bed and said when I power wash it I had to lay a rag over the clutch vent or I would get water in the clutch and ruin it….didn’t the engineers know people will be power washing these???
Lastly I got up this morning and was looking at the bill of sale and at the top it said price of rzr 17444. The internet price was 16444. So what they list it with the rebates included? Then you also see rebates and low interest on the site and think your also getting those? I have to call today and ask about that… And one more thing…lol. How is it they are so cheap but when I go to the Polaris site and build my rzr 1000 the same way it is just about the same price??? Dang does that mean I didn’t have to drive 9 hrs to get a rzr??? There is two Polaris dealers within 35 minutes where I live in Indiana….
I hope you guys can shed some light on these issues for me. It will be greatly appreciated!

Engine power cuts out at ~6300 and then drops, revs to 7000+ in neutral

Hey all, I’m running a 14 XP 1000 that I just bought/rebuilt from a rollover. One of the things that was failed when I purchased it was the voltage regulator. Since getting it back together I’ve put about two hours of time on it and it started losing power randomly. Now if I put the pedal down from a stop it will rev up to ~5800 to ~6300 and then slowly leech power till I have to stop again. If I "gently" accelerate and keep it under the ~6000 rpm mark, it seems fine but that doesn’t even get me to 40mph. Tried revving it up in Neutral and had no issues getting it to~7200. No CEL, any ideas?
