I’m looking for any info I can get on brighter headlight bulbs for a 2015 polaris sportsman 850 and info on led light bars. I have a front brush guard from atv guru he put the tabs on for me and spaced them for a Sri rigid light bar. It’s a little pricey I think at $399 for a 10" bar.

850 prop shaft

Does anybody know what part store ujoint will work on a 14 scram 850 front prop shaft? The 338 is too big. Also will a front prop shaft from like an 09 sportsman (had the bigger 338 joint) fit my scrambler?

Close ratio gear swap

Anyone know if the ring gear and pinion from a 15 or 16 year will fit in the older front differential?

I would like to buy the close gear ratio for my 2012 850 but do not want to swap out the entire differential.

Anyone done this?

CVT exhaust

Is it worth putting the 2009 under seat CVT exhaust on a 2015 850 SP? I have been getting into water more lately and feel like the CVT exhaust is my Achilles. I go slow and make sure I don’t go deep enough to drop the front end over the intakes but the rear seems like it is a lot lower and susceptible to water being pushed in when reversing? I don’t want to snorkel it because I want my front storage box.

while back had one way brg on 850 clutch go south, local dealer couldn’t manage to disassemble the clutch, sent it up to ryan had brg installed and got a kit from them, installed kit with new belt, very smooth engagement with plenty of bottom end, thanks Ryan !

correct oil pressure

on my 2013 850 ho when hot is 75 psi, the factory manual on page 5.3 states standard is 25 psi and min is 10 psi, then on page 5.4 in the oil flow dia it states ‘oil pressure regulator + 85 psi’ , if I throttle up I can see the gauge needle hit 85 psi, the regulator opens and dumps the excess oil pressure, could the oil pressure spec on page 5.3 be incorrect ?

btw oil is 5w40 full syn

AWD engages when front tires are in the air

OK guys, when I was in the RZR community, I swore I read that lifts somehow caused the 4wd to engage sometimes with stock axles. Not sure how or why, and can’t find that information anymore.

My problem; when ‘water-wheeling’ the bike, the AWD will activate sometimes. It has never happened with all 4 tires on the ground. I had the front diff apart during the build to install the aluminum sprague and it’s in great shape. Is it somehow caused by the lift creating too great of an angle when at full droop? Is this a problem that can be solved by axles? Not sure how to proceed.

So far, it really hasn’t been a ‘problem’ as I am running slow and easy on the throttle when the front end is up, but of course I would like to remedy it if possible. Thanks!

Front axle suggestions

The other day I broke a front axle and need to replace it.

Im looking for suggestions on a replacement. I want something OEM or better but I don’t want to spend an arm and a leg.

Any help is appreciated.

Also if you upgrade, should both sides be done?
