2000 Kodiak No Spark

I have replaced coil, starter relay, stator, new plug, metered all the switches, but still no spark.
One thing i notice is the starter relay wont engage starter with the white relay beside ecu installed, but when i put the red relay in it, it will.
something else i noticed is that is doesnt have to be in neutral for it to roll over with the red relay in white connector.
that being said, i borrowed my friends working ecu, regulator, white and red relays from same year bike and still no spark. original stator measured resistance good, but changed it anyway as recommended to me from a friend.
i am not really sure where to go from here. any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have the service manual but find the schematics really hard to pick out as they are poor resolution.
thanks in advanced.

Idler gear movement on flywheel/starter clutch

I recently replaced the one way bearing on my 07 bigbear 400. I have this problem with a litte movement of the idler gear for the starter clutch. I ran it all weekend at the last weekend. I didn’t have any problems with but I didn’t fell good about it so I pulled it all apart. I went to a local yamaha dealer and talked to a mechanic and he said it looks fine. I just wanted a second opinion thanks. https://vimeo.com/127204110

Solenoid issues on Kodiak

2000 Kodiak 400 4×4 is having problems. Posted the other day that the starter kept trying to start the bike while it was running. Solenoid was failed closed with multi-meter. Installed new solenoid from ebay. Now bike will only start if I jump across the new solenoid posts. Turn on the key and get no indicator lights. I have the wiring diagram, any suggestions?

2006 kodiak oem windshield/fairing

This my 2nd post. I decided to go with the Tamarack Luxury Lounger. It was 50$ off (but 30$ shipping). I’ll post how it is on my 2006 Kodiak 450 I JUST bought.

Well I have the rear seat/cargo with fender guards and foot pegs, now I’m trying to find the fairing and windshield. I’ve found a ton of clear windshields, but I’m looking for the Yamaha one if its out there. Red fairing, windshield. I added a pic of the one I’m looking for. Anybody know where I can get one?

Perfex Suspening Kit for 350 Bruin

I’ve heard and read about the Perfex kit for a while now. I had talked with someone regarding the kit some time back and there is no kit for the Brin.

After doing some research I’ve found out the Wolverine 450 and 350 Bruin share a similar frme. The main thing that I’ve found is that the Bruin has a lip/bracket welded to the upper front rail to install the rad. They both share the same part on the rear where the shock mount is located. A-arms are an exact match as well.

Decided to take a gamble and order a kit for the Wolverine.

There are two plates that attach to the upper rail, in front of the gas tank, where the shocks are mounted. I had to cut and grind them in order to get them to fit properly. Long story short, it was a beach of a job but it can be done!

Also had to make some makeshift bushings for the lower shock mounts as well. Other than these mods I’m hoping it’ll all work fine.

I did take it for a short scook this evening on the main road but have to try it on the trail. They’re still snow covered so it’ll be a while yet before I can hit some dirt with the kit.

The quad is rather quick on its stering with the Perfex kit. From my short ride it appears to be smoother but I’ll know more once I’m able to take it off road with the rough stuff. I did find a few bumps etc. and it appears to be smoother than before. Again, I’ll know more once I have some trail time in.

Anyone out there know if the Wolverine 450 and Bruin have different front shock lengths or whether they ‘re are the same length?

I’ll be sure to keep you all posted on my findings.
