2015 Rancher Superwinch install

Hello,

I ordered a Superwinch Terra 25 for my 2015 Rancher. Here are the items I have on order:

  1. Superwinch Terra 25 – http://www.costco.com/Superwinch-Ter…100133693.html
  2. Superwinch mount – Superwinch, LLC – Honda ATV Mount Kit Fits Fourtrax – part # 2202921
  3. Superwinch mount hardware kit – Superwinch, LLC – Terra Mount Hardware Kit – part # 87-42616
  4. Honda accessory sub harness – part # 08Z01-HR3-A20

Do I need anything else? Have any of you installed this winch on this ATV? Any advice?

Thanks

2013 rancher ES moose plow mount question.

I just bought a plow, puts tubes and mount off a Yamaha wolfereene for $75 knowing I would have to change the mount. Well in my search for a mount, all the mounts I see have a narrow slots to connect the push tubes to the mount.

The tubes I got are 1.5-2 inch wide and would not fit in the mount shown for the 13 rancher. Do I have change tubes also? Thoughts?

Thank you for any help.

Rear tow points

Whats everyone using for towing from the rear (pulling someone or being pulled)? The obvious answer seems to be to put a D-Ring in the hole for the ball. Is anyone using anything else there? My only thought about that is the ring rattling could annoying.

Warranty question about more ground clearance. 2014 Rancher

I have a friend who has a 2014 Rancher and really needs a little more ground clearance. Can he add larger tires without affecting the warranty. He did purchase the extended warranty at time of purchase. He has a 2014 Honda Rancher with power steering and an automatic transmission with a solid rear axle. Any help and insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

2014 Rancher 12-volt Outlet Install

I decided to look into installing a 12-volt outlet on my Rancher today and to my surprise it was much easier than I expected. I had read elsewhere on this forum that you have to remove the front rack and some plastics but I found that not to be necessary, at least with the 12-volt outlet I had laying around, and the wiring harness already under the radiator access cover (I’m not sure which models/years have this).

I drilled a hole in the location that’s designed for an outlet and tightened the outlet’s nut on the back side. Then snipped the Honda wiring connector under the radiator access cover and ran the outlet’s wires to there and crimped them together. By turning the handle bars to the right I was able to get my hand on the back side of the outlet and tighten the nut and push the wires to the wiring harness.

This is the outlet I had purchased for another use but worked well for this application. It didn’t come with an inline fuse so I borrowed one of those from somewhere else.
