2005 Rancher 350 Valve Noise
Hi Everyone
I just picked up a 2005 Rancher 350 ES that has 2200 miles on it and runs very well but has a interesting valve train noise. Is it normal for this type of engine to have very loud valve noises? When sitting on the bike you can hear the constant sewing machine tick-tick as the pushrods and valves do their thing. When i rev the engine the sound increases proportionately but it always seems smooth albeit loud. Doesn’t use any oil, power is great, no smoking, just high pitch sewing machine sound from right side of engine.
I asked the original owner if he ever checked the valve clearances and he said it was only done once during the initial service. Is this type of noise normal or am i looking for issues that aren’t there. So many threads on timing chains gone bad, valve seats etc…. The following video shows the sounds its making, if this is normal then that’s great!

BTW, i had a 2007 Foreman 500 before and i don’t remember it sounding like this but maybe that’s a different engine design

Having trouble with my battery… It works fine to start and run, but if I ever use my winch it will eventually kill the engine and the battery will not reboost my Rancher without being placed on battery charger or using jumper cables!
Alternator tested fine…
Bad battery?
Next question: if battery needs replaced do I go factory, or is there a better option???

I have a 2015 Rancher 420 ES 4×4. looking into getting tires for mudding but want to keep the stock rims(im not into the "pretty" look of the rims)what is the biggest i can go?

I recently purchased the bike and the wiring harness has been cut to pieces. I can get the display to light up but shows — on gear display and will not start when I hit button. Does anyone have a diagram?
