So im looking at some new Zilla’s.
Originally I was going to go with 28’s as that seems to be the sweet spot on a Grizzly. But im looking at the prices and 30" Zillas are only a few bucks more for all 4. The 30’s are a little narrower than the 28’s but isnt the extra 2" of clearance more important?
General trail riding with moderate mud. I ride alone though so getting stuck in mud is what im scared of the most and would be very very bad. Recently I got stuck and had to walk 12 miles to my truck and then had to fit my truck down a horrible logging trail without getting that stuck to pull the Grizzly out. Then had to walk the 12 miles again to get the 4 wheeler after returning the truck to the road.
Was a 14 hour adventure id rather never repeat lol.
With that said im looking for the most aggressive mud tire I can get. I dont care about ride comfort.
Im not 100% sold on the Zilla’s. So if you can think of a better tire to fit my needs, feel free to get me in the right direction.
My stock tires are about shot. I think they are Maxxis. I trail ride at Wayne National forest. This is a mix of hard pack, mud and rocky stuff. The rocks are very slick when wet. I also plow snow with the ATV. Just my drive and side walks around my house.
I don’t go fast. The trails don’t have giant mud holes. I want a tire that will not tear up the trails unnecessarily. I am going to stick with stock size unless someone can tell me why I would not.
What is a good all around tire for my use? I like the looks of the Sedona Buzzsaw tires. They seem like they would work for me.
Just got some 27 x 12 and 27 x 11 Mudzillas. My stock rims are smaller ( 10 & 9 ). Will this create any problems tire shop says potential future problems. What I have read on here seems to indicate not. Thanks
Just picked up a ‘new’ (well, to me) ’03 660 with 1k miles. Needed some TLC, complete maintenance and fluid change, front brake pads. CV boots look great and nice dry seals all around. Front drive shaft doesn’t stick out and just a hint of play when hitting rear brakes hard. Had some damage to right front so replaced broken front grille, lower A-Arm, Tie Rod, and Rim. Damage was slight, just enough to throw off camber and toe-in. Picked up a good used rim on EBay that is 12×6 and has 4×2 offset. Was a bit surprised to find my original rims are actually 4.75×1.25 offset, so the replacement right side rim sticks out .75" more than the left side now. So my question is: do I leave it as is, find another 4×2 for the left side, take the 4×2 off and sell it and get a used ‘stock’ 4.75×1.25 rim, or get a spacer. Problem with spacer is you end up with the hub hole in the wheel since the hub cover won’t fit on the spacer. Lots of great info here, has helped me understand all the little quirks of the 660.
Reciever tires today…well 3 of 4 but that’s another story. I ordered 9" for front and 12" for rear, boy do the 12" look wide! If anyone has a photo of 12" tires in the rear on aftermarket wheels please post! Thanks
Found a guy that has a like new set of 27×9-12 for front and 27×11-12 for rear Mega Mayhems on 12" STI HD wheels. I have a 2014 Grizzly 700. He had them on a Honda Rancher. They should be the same bolt pattern 4/110 right? is the lugnuts the same? and will it scrub any?

I found a set of brand newmudlites (27×9, 27×12) on factory black rims for $400! But I’ve been reading about how heavy they are, would these be too heavy for my stock 660 grizz?
