Well for everyone that followed my looonnnggg process of building my motor, I have good news. After tearing it apart twice to replace/rebuild it and after 5 months of no riding.. I got it all back together over the weekend and went out for a rip.

First off let me start off by saying how I appreciate all the help and advice I was given through here and this sites sources!!
Next is the fun this bike packs now with the 840 kit.. It’s a monster, I can only imagine what it’d be like with a couple other bolt on parts. I took it out for a half of day. Down here in Florida we had a big rain storm so the sand was hard packed, let me open it up, and there was good stuff to play in. All in all the bike came back and loaded up under its own power without any issues. Something I can’t say I’ve had in a reeaaalllyyy long time.

My buddy just got a 2014 or 15 maverick xxc.. He wants to run me now.. Think it’s a good run? Idc either way lol..

My last thing.. I’m not doing much more to my bike, but thought about possible potential performance upgrades and what would be best with this 840 kit. I’m sure cams is one, which id love, but not sure if I can afford the new ecm to go with them. Heard they aren’t any good unless you can get rid of that rev limiter. So what else? Thinking maybe the 09 intake mani and air box..

XMR rear bumper

I’ve been thinking about a rear racing bumper and still am but I just recently noticed the rear XMR bumper.
It looks like it has more rear coverage for tail lights and seems like it would act as a better wheelie bar vs my stock grab bar which digs in, instead of just drags.
Any xmr guys doing wheelies? Lol probably not to many unless it’s clutched nicely. Just figured I ask about what you guys thought of that bumper and why you like or dislike it.
I really need to see one in person or some better pics![emoji16]

Renegade will not idle and code p0505

Had this issue before cleaned the idle valve didn’t fix it, not sure what fixed it but it just came around after trying it a few times, done it again now I think because his air intake shield is off and we were in fluffy snow, but cleaned it again checked the filter all grounds installed a new battery running out of things that would make it not idle and put it into limp mode

QE diff question

I have a 2013 Renegade 1000 STD. It has the non QE front diff. I am wanting to put a QE diff in it and found a 2014 Renegade 800XXC QE front diff. Will the diff from the 800XXC fit my 2013 1000?

New with a bunch of questions

I just picked up a 10 xxc 800 as a partial trade for my rzr. So far I love it but I’ve got a bunch of questions on what I need and want.
The first thing I did was add a longer snorkel for the cvt exhaust. Just went with the xmr tube and put the stock piece on the end of that tube, I ended up seat deep first ride and had no issue. I dont really wamt to go deeper.

I need tires, going with 27s on the stock wheels, not sure what tire yet

A winch is the other must have, after reading a little I saw you need a winch mount and around $50. I think a winch bumper might be worth it plus give me a little more protection. I saw a few options, the one on eBay, PRM and wild boar are what I’ve seen so far. Anything to say either way on any of them? Wild boar looks like the most protection but is the most expensive and I’m up in the air on the looks of it.

Frame protection, I have aluminum skids on it but have read about the frame getting crushed. Is the tube you weld together and slide in a better option than the company that made the aluminum insert? My biggest concern is strength with either option

Fenders? What is the best bang for your buck? I just want to stay a little drier, this weekend I got splattered when I drove down a wet road and just about every time I ride I will come across some kind of wet area. I would like to not have to wear rain pants all the time.

What should I look into for maintainence? It’s a 6 year old quad with about 1000 miles. I know change all the fluids, engine, trans, diffs. I’m thinking a belt might be a good idea. What about cleaning the clutches as well?
Everything on the quad feels tight and solid anyway, looks like its been ridden fairly easy the only thing that’s loose is the rear trailing arms iI think since it squeaks when you stand on it. I saw something about how to fix it but I’m waiting to see if I can live with the noise.

If I’m missing something please let me know I’m loving it already

Hey friends I need help !!

Ill make this short. Years ago I swamped and blew the motor on my 09 Reny 800. It did run for awhile after the swamping and I did the normal flushing and what not, But the motor let loose after sometime anyways. Now I had bought a 2012 Reny 800 motor new and proceeded to swap them out. I know the differences between the two motors.
1. Internal Oil Cooler on 12
2. Larger charging system on the 12
3. 09 got the timing from front cylinder, 12 does not.
4. 09 and 12’s computers are different
Now if there are anymore differences please let me know….
Since I swapped the motors and front cylinder (for timing) I could not get it running. Checked spark, fuel, air, compression, and all your normal things. Sensors all worked since last time it ran, and even swapped out the old sensors with the 12’s sensors that I received with the motor and harness. I kept the 09 computer and wiring ( ran fine before ) and still cannot get it to run. This is what I am looking for..
1. Any info on a BRP Diagnostic tool and where to get one
2. Anymore info on the differences between the motors
3. Basic info or maybe something Ive overlooked in the process.
4. The Comp prior to the motor letingt loose went into LIMP MODE but still should let the NEW motor fire correct ??

Again this was years ago and it was pushed into the corner and forgotten about. Life and Responsibilities came before fixing this and now I am READY !!! Please help me get this Beast back in the woods again !! THANKS

LED light bar set up

Couple questions. Looking to purchase a light bar to mount to my steering stem / handle bars on my reny. Im thinking going a dual row 6", 9", or 12" and make my own mounting.

1) Any imput as to flood, spot, or a combo set up. I 9" or 12" really leaning towards combo.

2) Any battery drain issues having the extra watts draw. Im looking at a few different light bars that would draw either 36W, 54W, or 72W.

3) Brand recommendations. Considering Extreme or Kawell off Amazon in the $30-$50 price range.
