4wd lock out override

Hey there… not sure how to word this….. Plowing last night had it in 4wd, and went over some snow rather slow.. and as soon as I stopped (and sank) I was stuck… now the reason I stopped was the back wheels started to spin, front grabbed and just sank the front end… I am figuring that if the front was pulling just as hard as the rear was pushing, I would not of gotten stuck…. now my question… is there a way to over ride (modify) the front wheels from free wheeling till the rears start to spin… as soon as you put in the 4wd, the fronts pull just has hard as the rears???

I can already tell their will be people that argue against this… and I understand, is just a thought. And their are some people that would say if you hammered through, you would not of gotten stuck…. let me just say, you were not there, no room to hammer through.. sometimes you need to go slow…. yes, yes there is that time… if you feel that hammering full throttle is the way to go, and want to stress this to everyone… please press the back button, and do not respond.. I have a serious question and would like to know if anyone had thought of this and have a decent conversation.

Radiator Relocation kit

What brand of radiator relocation kit are you guys running? Every time i go riding with my buddies i end up on the side to let the wheeler cool down and be able to limp it the rest of the way. Looking to get one for next year.

Exhaust

Looking for a slip on performance exhaust for my 2008 Sportsman 800 and possibly a head pipe. Had a HMF but I thought it was a little noisy. Any recommendations fellas? Greatly appreciated.

CVT Clutch – Ratio Change?

2005 Sportsman MV7. It’s basically a hillside tractor, hauling landscape fun – dirt, rocks, dirt, wood chips, mulch …. geeez. Tow behind mower being built from old riding mower.

Even with a low range, I can’t get the torque I’d like, and keep my speed down. This will mostly apply to towing the mower. Any kits out there that’ll rev me up and slow me down? Thoughts (besides forcing a stallion to pull a cart – I know)?

tks

clutchkit question

Hi,I’m new on here hoping someone can give me a little help.I have a 2014 sportsman 400 h.o. I been having a set of 28" og outlaws on it for over a year now and just put a lift on it. Mytires are getting kind of worn and I’m thinking bout going with 30" backs or 29.5 outlaws butbefore I do I would like to put a clutch kit in. Thisis where I need some help, I can’t find a clutch kit for larger tires for my bike. A friend of mine had a 2013 500 ho and it was about identical even the power to my 400 . My question is Will a clutchkit for the 500 fit the 400?

Plow Question

Hey there guys! Dont know if this is the right area to post this, so if I have to move it, let me know and I’ll take care of it! 🙂

My question has to do with the Plow that I have for my atv, and what I can do with it…maybe a dumb question, becuse its a plow, right? should be able to do what ever the 4 wheeler can do right? Thats why I’m here.

I got the plow when I bought the ATV, it came with it. (I’m not sure on the type of plow that it is, if thats important I can get that for you). Once it snows, i’ll be using it for the driveway, but my idea is to use it to move some roofing shingles out of the way of a trail I ride. My neighbor owns the woods that I ride in, and he dumps trash back there because, well, its Ohio and thats what they do I guess…but he just dumped a shit ton of shingles (some short nails in them) and I dont want to drive over them. I cant shovel them because there are so many and its really heavy. So would I be able to put the plow on, put the bike in 4 wheel drive, and push them off the trail? or is that not advised to do…Just an idea if I should use it for ONLY snow, or if it can be used for other things….Any help would be great ! Thanks in advance!

radiator fan

My stock radiator had a hole in it so I replaced it with a aluminum radiator. Now the fan will not stop running. Any ideas why??? Once it heats up it will turn on but not off. I have to turn the machine off let it cool then back on. It is not overheating that I know of. Its a 2007 polaris sportsman Deluxe
