So on my 420 I have a split audio tube, light bar, and accessory outlet all wired strsight to the battery with a simple toggle switch for each accesory. my problem is that after riding for a little while andriving having all my accessories on my power steering light will blink intermittently, my lights will dim and I will not have as much power going to my accessories. I’ve tried turning them off one by one to see if one is drawing more power than another but it seems to have no effect. And I don’t really know much about this so any help would be greatly appreciated thanks guys

Hello all, I’m new to the forum. I have an 07 rancher 420te (2wd es) the issue I’m having is the fan will stay on as long as it’s getting power. Motor will turn over but it’s not getting any fire and the gear indicator is flashing a "-" repetivley, no short or long flashes but a constant speed. I was told that the wire junctions were messed with and the colored bus type bar caps were moved around. Imy looking to see if employment has the same model and would be kind enough to post a picture of theirs with the black caps off showing what order the different color bars are in. I think I’m going to mess with it a another day or two then take it to the local shop here where I live. Thank in advance for your input and advice.

The 2017 sportsman 1000 has 90 HP compared to the Outlander 89 HP. Funny thing is Polaris has 4 1000cc atv’s all four have a different HP….

Sportsman 1000 90HP
Scrambler 1000 89HP
Sportsman Touring 1000 88HP
Sportsman Highlifter 1000 85HP

Correct me if I am wrong but all Can-am atv 1000 engines have the same hp. How or why does Polaris do this? Different tunes? I just thought this was interesting and also how Can-am is no longer the hp leader…..

When we buy a Outlander Max XT it will be in the back of our pickup A LOT because we live in our motorhome and travel the country fulltime. With that in mind I worry about the weight on the tailgate. I have come across a ramp system that also is a bed extender called "Load-all" and was wondering if anyone here has or has seen anyone with this ramp system and if so what you think of it.

Hi all, I am getting ready to sell my kawasaki bruteforce and i am having a hard time deciding what i want. I know this is a polaris forum, but my choices are between a 2016 can-am outlander 1000xt or a 2017 sportsman 1000. I am waiting to see what Abernathy’s in Tennesee is going to sell them for to make my final decison because my local dealer has the outlander. Local dealer also has a red 2016 sportsman 1k but from what iv’e read people say to wait for the 2017’s?? I am not real familar with the sportsmans, what were some common issues with them in 2015 and 2016? Were they addressed for 2017? I am just looking for as much advice as possible, obviously it comes down to personal preference but i would give the new sportsman a chance for sure. They also jumped 2hp from 2016 to the new 2017’s.

I’m having a problem that stumps me. On my newest project, 1985 ATC250ES, also known as the Big Red. I rebuilt the carb with a kit from GH Atv. Soaked in carb cleaner for 7 days, blew out all passages with carb cleaner in a can then blew out with compressed air. Bike starts up first press of the button but after idling for 1-2 mins starts revving higher. I have installed a new uni filter, checked for air leaks around fittings. Does anyone have any suggestions?

This is the tank, it’s soaking in vinegar now. Hopefully I can salvage it.

I say from the road because we live fulltime in our motorhome and travel the country.
We have pulled a Jeep Rubicon with us the last 4 years but have decided to switch things up and add another toy so we put the Jeep in a storage unit and bought a pickup (6 1/2ft bed) so we can get a toy to haul with us.
We pondered a RZR but I think because of weight and size we have decided on a Can-Am 850 Outlander Max XT. Just need to find one at a good price and pull the trigger.
We spend winters in Arizona and a bunch of people we know ride in the Quartzsite area so we thought it would be a hoot to join in. And hope we could find groups to ride with while in other states as well.
Just stumbled onto this site a couple days ago so hope to become an active member and learn lots.
