Whats going on everyone. New to the site but not really. Thought I was already a member and realized i wasn’t. I have been lurking and creeping around these (and many more) pages for years. I’m about an hour outside NYC in Poughkeepsie. Current wheeler is an 02 400ex build but I will put somthing up on that in the build section. I’m not a big computer guy but will do my best to assist w/any topics i’m knowledgable on. Although it isn’t my main source of income, I have been buying, fixing and flipping different wheelers for a few years now. Mostly trail ride but there is a GNCC race about 3 hrs away in Unadilla Ny I’m considering. Thanks for the replies to my random washer post…STILL A MYSTERY :icon_cussing:

I have a line on some tracks for cheap. I think they’re an earlier model of the Prospectors made by Soucy. They’re currently on a 2012 500 Sportsman.
I’m handy with metal work so I’m not too concerned about the a-arm brackets needing some tweaking (or making new ones altogether).
I could only find 1 picture online of these specific tracks but no info or part numbers.
My question is…. when running tracks on my 850, would I need to run them in low gear or need a clutch kit? I know I’ll get some power loss which I’m ok with, I just don’t want to be crawling down the trails in low gear.
The tracks look in very good shape and I can pick them up for $1000.
First off, I’m new, like most people I joined when a problem came up. Also, prior to even joining, I checked out the won’t start troubleshoot thread. So I got up to my house in Rangeley tonight. My Sister has used my quad a few times in the last month and it’s clear she hasn’t been cleaning them up at all after bombing through the woods. I tried to start it when I got here, the screen digital stuff shows up, but the backlight doesn’t come on. At first anyways. And if I hold the brake, it makes a weird buzzing noise. If I turn the key to ON and leave it alone for a minute, then the clicking will stop and the orange back light on the screen will come alive and it LOOKS promising like it’ll start, but as soon as I turn the key, it’s back to square one. I took a video and posted it to youtube, but appartently it’ll be a couple days before that video even posts. I’m going to TRY to attach the video here, but if anything, it might just be a picture. If anyone is willing enough to see/hear what’s going on, let me know and I’ll email you the video.

I’m reading that the oe hole shot tires on here don’t quite measure up to 25" (I will check for myself when I get home from vacation if no one can measure for me!) and more like 24 or even 23.5 I read!
I’m going with Kenda HTRs and I’m looking to gain some ground clearance but also keep it as light as I can, and I enjoy the sportier feel.
So, going with 25" HTRs, will I gain ground clearance over stock 25’s? If anyone has these measurements or has been through this I’d love your thoughts.
I was originally convinced I was going to 26 HTRs but now reading that stockers are barely a 24, I’m thinking a 25 will suit me better and keep the weight down…but still gain clearance. So do the 25’s and 26’s HTRs measure true to size and do the stockers really NOT measure even close to true to size?
Thanks in advance guys!

So i have a 96 25p polaris trailblazer. Its a 2 stroke. It has a new spark plug and gets great spark. Its getting gas and air. We also checked the compression and thats fine. The starter itself does not work put it has a pull started yet we still cant get it running. Any ideas??
