I purchased a outlaw the other day its a great atv! But whenever i let off the throttle holding clutch or not it will die on me. And when i am going wot it seems to be running out of fuel. Ive pulled the carb and cleaned it 100% no change, adjusted the idle and still the same, even went as far as checking the saftey switch inside the thumb. Im at a loss here and cant seem to find any info on this.

1985 polaris sportsman random no spark
Long story short had my quad for about 3 years and not a issue. Took apart to clean up skins and clean everything because I sank it, cleaned carb. Took everything needed off and cleaned then put them back on . Went to start it and nothing (literally 1 day later) went through obvious checks. Pulled Spark plug and no spark. Pulled ignition coil and checked it out and seems ok, between signal pin and ground was 1.1 ohm, and signal pin to end of plug wore was 13k ohm. Checked signal wire and was getting around 36v. Decided what the he’ll and Tried again and started. All happy. Shut down had dinner and back out and no start :wtf:again checked coil and same. checked signal wire and only getting 12v but once plugged in to coil it goes 0v unplugged and back to 12v while cranking with nothing to the spark plug. And no spark… any ideas? I am new to quad mechanics but am 9 year experience in other type of mechanics

2001 trx350 fourtrax issues
I have not been here in a while and could not locate any of my previous posts so I’m going to start again. Last summer I bought an 01 Honda . The previous owner said the engine had been rebored and a new piston and rings installed. I was using it a few times to plot snow last winter and it started smoking like crazy. I changed the oil and found it to be very thick. Almost like diesel motor oil. I recently had a bit of time an pulled the motor out of the frame where I found one of the cylinder jug bolts to have been siliconed in the whole and the rest broken off in the case. I broke an easy out trying to extract it and had to take it to a machine shop to get it burnt out. From what I can see the interior of the motor looks very clean . The exhaust valve has a lot of carbon on the face and the inside of the port is an oily burnt mess. Any ideas why? The piston and cylinder look good. I checked the crankcase vent to see if it was blocked and it’s not. Could it be valve seals? I really don’t want to split the case if I don’t have to. a guy at a performance shop said to just fill the case with varsol and drain it out and then air dry it and that if it had been swamped that it would clean it that way rather than having to take it all apart.
I also found a crack in the frame which I am prepping for welding. Sorry for the long post. Any help would be appreciated

2005 Honda Rancher engine tick at idle normal?
I have a new to me rancher 350 that has a noticeable tick in the top end of the engine. I have read several threads about "normal" vs "un normal" rancher engine noise. I have removed the engine and checked the timing chain which was fine, and adjusted the valves which made things a little better. I now seem to mainly only hear noise at idle, but I cant determine if I still have an issue or if this is "normal" i took a video, I look forward to hearing the thoughts of some experts.
Bighorn 2.0
I looked for a thread specific to the 2.0 and couldn’t find one. You are all probably sick of talking about bighorns but I would like a non bias review of the 2.0 and not comparing to the originals. But actual experiences of people that have run them not just people who like the originals and not really tried the 2.0. In Canada it’s about $100 cheaper than the originals and black waters are even more than the originals. I want a good all terrain tire for trails. Not much muddling and not as much snow. 90% trails dirt and roots and some light rocks . What is your honest non bias reviews of the 2.0 for those conditions and wear longevity compared to any other all terrain.
