What fluids should I run in my G1 Outlander for plowing?

I decided this year to plow my drive (400 hundred feet or so) and got tracks for my 2010 Outlander 650 Max since I have a big hill right in the middle of that.

My question for you more experienced guys is what fluids should I be running? Should I do any service mid winter? Would you suggest I keep any spare parts in hand (keep in mind I do have a dealer 30 minutes away if I need to order anything, but I also need to plow my drive or else it isn’t getting done)?

Is the 0W-40 4-stroke Amsoil better than the syn Can-Am oil?

Thanks for any input you guys have. Let it snow!

Outlander Display Cover Broken

So I noticed one day that the plastic/plexiglass/glass/whateveritsmadeof clear cover over my digital display was cracked & broken. The dealer said that it wasn’t a warranty item, as that I must have done something to it to break it. I don’t remember doing anything to it… but whatever. Anyway, they said that they can’t just replace that piece, it comes as whole unit and costs about $400.

That being said, I am looking for a DIY solution. Anyone fix their own? Looking for options. See attached picture.

Thanks!!

Bumper upgrade??

My new winch will be here the first of next week, and it had me thinking about a new bumper. I had my off last night working on the head lights (more of a pain then I thought) and not sure If I want to go back with that one. I know once the winch is on it the bumper is not going to come off.

I looked around a bit but did not see anything I liked. Dose anyone know of a good front bumper to put on this Kodiak? If I keep this one, I am going to blast it and powder coat it.

1996 Xplorer Tire Swap

Hello All!
Brand new, just signed up member…
I am looking to change tires on my Xplorer and was thinking of moving down to 24" OD instead of 25"…. When riding more aggressivly i notice the rears rubbing under the fenders periodically. I have already turned the rear suspension all the way up…
Anyone have good or bad input with switching to the 1" smaller OD?
Maybe the suspension is the problem?

Silverton Colorado Fall Ride Pictures

My oldest son and I met up with a group of guys in Silverton last week to ride the Alpine Loop network of trails and jeep roads. Our home base was the town of Silverton and the Triangle Motel. The motel was located on the OHV route and was clean and welcoming. We rode 5 days covering just about all the major passes and riding roughly 380 miles. We had great weather. Cool clear mornings opening up into slightly warmer afternoons.

Here’s a few pictures.
