Warn 69373 Fairlead ?

Who new? Just opened up my Warn ProVange 2500 and it already has the oversize 69373 fairlead. I ordered one separatly thinking the winch would not come with the oversized roller. 20% restocking fee + pay shipping back to sellar on ebay . Thinking i should just keep it now. Whats chance i would ever have to replace it ?:rocker:

How to tell if hitting Rev limiter or just dirty carb?

My 660 sputters at mid rpm as if either diff lock limiter or reverse limiter is going but I held how the override button and didn’t help. Is that proper way to test? Getting my carb out is a pain. Idles like a champ but it seems if there is no load or not moving it doesn’t sputter. And I have my reverse switch grounded so I’m leaning towards carb but diff lock doesn’t work on my quad so I was thinking it could be that

2002 Kodiak sidecovers

Hello Kodiakites, I have been scouring the world trying to find cover side panels for my 2002, they seem to be related to Hen’s teeth and honest politicians! so if any of my Aussie mates have seen them laying in the back of some cockies shed where they got thrown when removed, can you let me know. There must be a few laying around somewhere, plenty of Kodi’s are being wrecked but no side panels.
I have sent many emails to wreckers and nobody replies, I assume they haven’t got any but an email to say that, isn’t going to cost much.

88 trx300 fourtrax 4×4 ran great. Now won’t start

I have a well taken care of 1988 trx300 that we got in July. It was always stored inside. I changed the oil & sucked out the old gas which wasn’t that bad & put in fresh 91oct. I put a battery from my lawnmower in it, was a little tall for the battery cover to go back on. but first push of the button it fired right up & ran great. We put probably 40 miles on it in about a month going fishing & giving the kids rides. Anyhow after about a month I still had never put that battery cover back on so decided to try. So I had to work pretty hard and basically bend the metal bracket to go over the battery. I kinda forced the cover on top & went to start it & nothing. It kicks over & over but just don’t want to fire. I got spark. I feel like I had to have done something when I forced the bracket & cover on. I checked both the little Silver & glass fuses that are right there in the battery compartment & they seem good? I feel pretty mad at myself for forcing them covers on because this thing runs & drives so nice. Anybody have any ideas. Thanks so much for your time. Bill in MN

Attempted Winch Install

First off, my machine is a 2015 570 Sportsman. It is the first ATV I have ever owned. Anyway, I decided I wanted to put a winch on the machine but having been recently laid-off from my job, I had to at least attempt to do it as cheaply as possible. Hench, I did not buy the Polaris set up.

Based on what I read here, I ordered the KFI mount (#100740) for my machine from Amazon. Next I went to the local Harbor Freight and purchased a Badlands 2500lb winch.

As I was installing the winch into the mount, I thought to myself that I didn’t like the cheap bolts that came with the winch. However, before I went to get some 8 grade fasteners, I wanted to check the fitment of everything. Well wouldn’t you know that the fairlead bolt holes do not line up with the KFI mount. So now I am scratching my head and wondering if I should A) take the 2500lb winch back and measure the distance of the bolts holes on the 3500lb winch to see it they are compatible, B) return the winch for a full refund and get another brand of winch, or C) attempt to drill new holes in the bracket that are correctly spaced for the fairlead that came with the winch? I guess another option would be buying a fairlead that is spaced correctly.

Oh the joys of owning a new machine and learning new things.
