Flashing and re mapping E.C.U

I have been looking into getting my ecu re flasher to have the limiters removed. Do these guys that reflash like MR.RPM also change the air/fuel/timing mapping? Is there any horsepower gain? Or should I just run a fuel optimizer? Would love to hear from anyone who has had this done. THX:tools1:

Pck eng code

Just got my check engine light on and it says pck eng…clicked it and it says 84 2…checked the Manuel and it says data erratic, intermittent or incorrect…what can it be and how can I fix it…and for some reason it made my fan stop working…started over heating

2004 rubicon with 2006 engine

My friend told me that nothing ever goes wrong with these so I saw one at an auction and bought it. What I learned after getting it home is that when you get to about 25mph the ‘dash’ starts blinking and it will not shift correctly. After research blink counter said it was the speed sensor and I set about finding it to test and / or replace. It is not where it should be, in fact it doesn;t exist at all on this machine. What I think I figured out is that it is a 2006 engine in a 2004 frame. I can;t find the serial number of the engine but I did on the frame. The other thing is that the fwd does not work and I discovered that they ground the spline off the front engine shaft so that the drive shaft "fits" but it obviously doesn’t do anything. Trying to decide the best way out of this, sell for parts? the engine starts and runs or look for a front axle shaft because I think the speed sensor is on the front differential in a 2006 but who knows if the output would work with the 2004 engine control or it would mount in the frame. I could maybe find a 2004 engine and sell the one I have. I think I bought it for $2500 which seemed like a deal and know I know why, these guys were sneaky. Any suggestions appreciated!
Thanks

hot left leg/foot fix

here is an easy fix for the heat coming off the cvt exhaust that blows on your feet/legs… first you need a piece of light metal you can work with, i used aluminum because it doesn’t rust.
make a L shape or 90 degree angle with your metal. mine was 1 inch on one side and one and a half on the other.
there are three holes in the stock heat shield you will bolt it up to that are already there
cut your stock to size and put the 1 and a half long side under the stock heat shield and the inch long side to bolt to. i used a nut and bolt on the ends and a sheet metal screw in the middle…big one!!!
Thats it!! this forces the cvt air to travel down the exhaust and not over the cvt cover and to your feet. simple.. easy…and effective. i have been running it for about 40 miles and it works great
