Just joined so I could do a little research here. I’m in the market to buy a new ATV in the next few months, and I’ve always been a fan of Honda. I want a foot shift 4×4, and am undecided between the Rancher and Foreman.
My ranger 400 has a shifting selector for automatic and esp. I am having an issue with it switching to esp while the selector is on auto. The switch is not loose. It does it at all different times. When it stays in auto it runs just fine, until it switches over to esp on it’s own that is. When it goes into esp and I put it in reverse it barely moves and just sputters. Switching the selector between esp and auto doesn’t correct the problem. I have to put it in neutral, shut it off, wait several seconds and then turn it back on tiger it back into automatic. Sometimes I have to go through this proces 2-3 times to get it back into automatic.
When it switches to esp the display no longer shows N, D, or R it either displays dashes or flashes ESP.
I just picked myself up a 2017 570XT after being a popo rider for years. I sold my 2014 Sportsman 570 for the Can Am and i’ll be taking her out on the first ride tomorrow. Really looking forward to it. I already ordered a set of ITP SS212 wheels and 26" Bighorn 2.0’s to replace to tiny looking stock 25" tires. I am 53 years old and I have been in a wheelchair since I was paralyzed in a motorcycle accident when I was 19. Lots of riding experience but finally starting to slow down a bit.

I just purchased an 08 sportsman 500 HO efi. The reverse override switch will toggle through the hrs/mi/time, but it still hits rev limiter while in reverse. Any suggestions????
Hello…just bought a 2016 Sportsman Touring 570 base a month ago…however with only 130kms on it, I am having issues….was in some water the other night and my belt /clutch housing filled with water…as I nosed in a hole a bit far. Once I drained it..I was good to go…then since then every water that I went through i had to drain the housing agai. So I filled up the housing with water to see if it would leak…and it leaks around the back of the housing next to engine. Also anyone have issue with the seat not sitting on frame as it should…my seat on the right the seat post only sits on about a 1/4"
I’ve got a 2015 Outlander MAX XT-P 1000, purchased May of last year, with only 37 hrs, 235 miles, just used to drive nieces around neighborhood, kept in my shop, still looks like it came off showroom floor, still has extended warranty, i got the 2 1/2 year extended warranty when i bought it. All stock. Kept it washed and waxed often, just to show ya, here’s a pic i took today. What do you think its worth and i can honestly get out of it, i have to sell for a medical issue with my eyes and i cant drive it like i used to. Thanks.
