Frame Question

Hi all, thanks for such a great forum with so much information!

I have a question I’m hoping someone can help me with. I currently have a 2004 predator that I have done extensive mods to including a gusseted frame. I blew it up some years ago and it has been sitting. I have priced fixing the engine but it needs a lot of bottom end work so the cost is high. I am looking at used machines and putting my parts on them. I was wondering if I bought a used 2005 if the engine would still fit my frame from my ’04? I would like the ’05 engine because of the close ratio, improved shifting and reverse! just not sure if my frame will work with it! Thanks for any info!

Require Better Straps – Rear Trunk

Hey all, I recently purchased a Kimpex Outback rear cargo box. I like it alright, but it does have one major flaw that’s driving me nuts!

As can be seen in the attached pic, the lid is held in the closed position by a bungee. This doesn’t keep much downward pressure on the lid, thus every time I hit a bump or a pothole the darn thing chatters.

Has anyone else had this problem and found a rubber type strap that would work without having to drill an addional hole? It appears that there is another/previous model that had the rubber straps. Just wondering if anyone experienced a similar problem and found a solution?

2015 bruin 350 running rough, metal fragments in oil

hello all, I have recently purchased a used 2015 bruin 350 2wd. The machine was won during winter, tore up a crankcase seal. I bought it this way. I was told it was a rear seal… surprise! So I took it to my local shop and they replaced the seal and assured me everything else was fine. Well it ran rough and sounded metallic but I was assured this was normal. It seemed to be slipping (clutch) so I took the belt cover off, cleaned it out (grease/oil on the belt) and it helped a little bit but still sounded bad. I drove it for about a week (I live in the high arctic and it is a car substitute) and found someone else who has one. I listened to theirs and it was much quieter and seemed to have more power. Mine is gutless! Won’t spin the tires even in snow and has difficulty going up even moderate grades on good roads. So I pulled it into the shed, checked the timing and the valve clearance and they are fine. I also stuffed and telescopic magnet into the oil dipstick hole and came back with a lot of beach size magnetic metal. So, I have now pulled the motor out and plan on opening up the top end tomorrow. Any thoughts or advice? I think when the previous owners took out the seal the engine was deprived of oil and caused damage. I hope it’s only rings. Thanks!

Renegade 570xmr

Anyone rode the new renegade 570xmr? I have an outlander 650xmr and I want to add a second atv. My wife and son will probably share riding it. I wonder if it would be more sporty than my 650xmr? They look pretty cool, and the price is not too bad.

Trailer for 570 Max

Hello all ! New member here. We just bought a 2017 570 Max going to pick it up Tuesday and I am stoked !

I need a trailer and I found a good deal on a used one that is 6×8 with a loading ramp. The specs show the 570 to be 7′ overall length. Will this trailer work ?
