Long ATV Ramps

Hello again, I recently bought a Outlander Max 570 and i want to get it to a few different places but my regular ramps are too short and makes it pretty scary trying to drive the ATV into the bed! I was looking online and found a company called LongRamps, has anyone here tried these ramps? Just wondering if they’re any good? I have a Tundra with a 6-1/2′ bed, but with the tailgate down I could fit the Outtie in there. I plan on getting a trailer next year sometime but I need something for now. Thanks in advance for any input.

Sportsman starting issues.

Just bought a used 2002 sportsman 400. Battery is fully charged but solinoid just clicks when turning the key. Apparently starter is a year old,and a quick look at it looks fairly new. Any fuses or circuit breakers that might be the cause? Possibly wiring issues? Haven’t had a chance to dig around yet, literally got it last night. Figured someone on here would have some tips!

New buyer frustrations

Hi all, I purchased my first Honda ATV the night before last. A new 2016 Fourtrax Foreman 500 4×4 with manual steer and foot shift. I called around to dealers and searched websites etc. until I was familiar with the options. This would be my 6th ATV purchase but my first Honda ATV. Talking with this dealer, I asked what he thought of the power steering and if he thought I should opt for it or do they steer pretty easy anyway? He advised they do steer very easy on their own and power steering was merely a gimmick. He continued to tell me how he would work very hard to earn and keep my business and every single machine he sells goes through a rigorous check to be sure it was 100% when the customer gets it. Well, I was sold on that. He delivered the Foreman to me that evening as he was 70 miles from me and I committed to buying it over the phone. Once the papers were signed I took it down the road to the trail and realized the steering was way off, about 3 inches turned to the left to keep it going straight. The alignment was so far off it was difficult not to go into the ditch. I brought it back home and adjusted the alignment and got it pretty close. The next evening my son and I went for a trail ride about 8 to 10 miles. I realized about halfway through I should’ve got the power steering because it steers hard, unlike the dealer said. My son and I switched ATV’s for the ride back and I took the Suzuki 500 Quad Runner. Once on that I realized how much lighter that one was compared to this Honda Foreman. Today my shoulder and arms are aching like hell. I called the dealer and told him I wanted to trade this one and upgrade for the power steering one and he flat out refused. He wasn’t willing to do anything and I can’t even believe this dealer. He’s only been in business less than 2 years and I’m sure he’s not going to last long if this is his attitude. The machine wasn’t set up properly when delivered and no interest in working with a customer to make them happy. This dealer talked the talk but I later found out, he was all talk and nothing more. What do you guys recommend I do? Opinions?

2003 Rincon Will Not Go Over 30 in 3rd

2003 Rincon Will Not Go Over 30 in 3rd

It’s not speed limited – it is RPM limited. Second Gear top is about 20 so it is cutting out at a certain RPM. At limit, pressing throttle results in back fire at times and deep sound of carb in air breather.

The sound is arbitrary (to me). It could be fuel or ignition related.

Runs fine until limit. I do have one other problem (and I can post that separately but I’m listing here on the slight chance that it is related).

When starting, you usually have to press starter button several times because it will not turn over. Not battery – even if you jump it. Sometimes, it will not unstick, unless you (attempt to) pull the recoil handle. I used to start this by hand if the key left on with no real problem. I said ‘attempt to’ because I cannot even pull it over when this happens but trying to will usually result in the starter working to start it, after that. It there any chance a compression release mechanism is not working ? (if so, can you fix these?)

Engine has about 2500 miles on it.

Thanks – Brock

2016 grizzly Engine failure

Hello everyone, was at my dealer today and sadly there was not one but two 2016 grizzlies with engine failure, the suspected cause both grizzlies sucked in dust, I believe this was talked about on a earlier thread, the small foam filter gasket ahead of the main air filter aloud dust into the engine, they were never oiled and greased from factory on the end for a good seal, both engines were still running but were smoking bad, if you had not oiled and greased this filter gasket on yours yet I would do it right away, just a friendly reminder. thanks

New (Used) Renegade 500

I’m buying a 2008 Renegade 500 tomorrow morning (subject to final inspection). I’m not all that familiar with the Renegades (or any "modern" ATV, for that matter) and was hoping that some of you could point me to the 5, 10, 20 (or more things) I need to make sure I check.

BTW, great forum! Picked up a lot of good information already!

Thanks!
