I am giving my original 1988 TRX300FW a full rubber overhaul. I have gotten off the front brake drum cover and wanted to replace the large dust seal but I cannot for the life of me see how they come off. It almost looks like I will have to buy a whole new front brake drum cover? Any help on whether or not I can replace the large rubber seal (or if I should buy a whole new cover / and where to buy)? The seal does not look horrible but I know it has been at least 20 years since anything has been done to this bike.

Was wondering what kind of belt life ur getting out of ur 1000

Looking at replacing front axles and I have 2 choices, Honda half shafts or east lake complete axles, I run stock wheels and tires.
Let me know the good the bad and the ugly. Which way would you go?

I have a few pictures I took of my 04 Honda Foreman 450 4×4. Can anyone tell me if I need to replace this and/or what’s it for? I’m a novice mechanic so where does it go? Can I replace or shop will have too?

Hi guys I have a 2003 Sportsman 600 and I got a 2500LB Badlands winch for it. I got my front end all apart and have got it mounted now I’m ready to wire it up.

Two questions:

1) is there a detailed guide around? I have read enough to feel OK to attempt it but it seems like this must have been done so many times that there would be some clear guidance for it.

2) does anyone ever wire up a second battery (winch to be used with a plow)?
a guy a few roads over I see his ATV with a big car battery on the front rack, he said he had wired the winch to that battery and then that battery basically to the alternator so that he says it charges the secondary battery while he’s plowing. I assume he did this to reduce the chances of the ATV not starting a day after heavy winch use and the battery levels are low. I have a powersport battery on my motorcycle i could take off and use for the winter if anyone thinks it’s wise?

It has been discussed on here multiple times to where if you are having trailer sway or a white knuckle tow, chances are you may be running too low of hitch weight, resulting a bad trailer balance.
