i need help with my fourtrax

my 2000 fourtrax 300 4×4 runs really well for about 10 minutes then it loses all power and will idle but not allow me to rev my engine or it dies.. could it be over heating.. i dont know much about the fourtrax and i know that this isnt much info but its all i know right at the minute

hey all
i just bought two trail bosses that kinda run and 2 for parts for super cheap and i was looking for info on what year they were i know where the 7 digit vin numbers are but on all my other quads theres a mfg date sticker is this not the case with these?? i need the carb to jug boots and a headgasket/piston ring set to get mine going and im also not familiar on where to get these parts the cheapest since im in canada and most parts are obviously in the us im ive had lots of polaris snow mobiles but no atvs any info would be great

08 TRX420ES Shifting Issue

New to the forum because of an issue I have with my machine not shifting. It will shift up through the gears, but will not shift down. Even when pushing the down button there is no noise, (not even trying to shift).

Battery is good. I have been reading a lot on these angle sensors. On my model there is a metal guard right below where the sensor attaches, so i don’t understand how to "preload" it if I can’t turn it due to the guard being there. I also get the code (23) which from what I’ve read is for the angle sensor. What is the correct procedure for resetting the computer. I downloaded a service manual so if you know page numbers that would help me. Thanks!

Can-am warranty problems

I own a 2014 can-am commander Max XT, pretty much a stock machine, It has 74hrs on it.It is only used to ride my 6yr old and 5 yr old around the farm. I have never ridden it hard and have kept up the maintenance as recommended. A few weeks ago it started having an issue going into high gear. It was an intermittent issue but it made a terrible noise when it did it. Since i had purchased the B.E.S.T. warranty i decided to take it to the dealer to let them check it out. They told me that the engagement gear was worn but he was almost positive that it would be warrantied since there was no other damage or water intrusion. The service department concluded that it was just a bad part. However BRP declined the repair under warranty saying that they had seen damage similar to this caused by "shifting gears on the go". I always was the driver on this machine and NEVER have i shifted on the go. I almost always was in high gear as i was riding in the fields or dirt roads.I was about to trade this machine in on a new defender but now I’m going to sell it and buy a Honda or Polaris. I cant believe that BRP is going to stick me with this $3000 bill after spending all that money on their warranty. Customer service wouldn’t even talk about the possibility they could be wrong. The service manager argued for me more than he said he ever has before.I will never own another Can-Am nor will i recommend anyone else to buy one.
