I managed to find a used winch mounting bracket (there are about 3 pieces) based on the parts diagrams for my 400. They are the same bracket mount kit that come on the XT’s right up to the 800’s.
I am looking at the parts diagrams trying to figure out where all the pieces go and I might eventually figure it out by a lot of trial and error, but I figure I’d ask on here if anyone knew of a manual or any help on where the parts go.
I am not sure if it is a Warn mounting bracket or if it is BRP bracket that can accept different winches.
Either way, hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

Hi. I Just joined up. I have an old 1996 honda forman 400 and recently bought a newer (2006) Honda (450ish I think). looking around the machine it is not obvious which model it is. Can I tell from the VIC or VIN number on the registration?
VIC PGJ951 or
VIN 1HFTE265964503997
I am leading up to asking for help in repairing or putting back together a part of the frame/suspension that fell apart on me yesterday. I want to have the correct make and model information first.
Thanks

Hello,
I am looking for the reference of a bush, which is not represented on the Honda OEM pieces.
My quad is a Rincon TRX650FA 2005.
My dealer in France said she did not detail.
there are 2 bush mounted on the rear hub above, they resemble the n° 23 and they receive the axis n°16.
I found complete kits repair rear triangles in which they are provided, but I already bought all the parts at Honda, and I miss this piece .
Is it possible to find this item at Honda? if so, do you know the reference?
Hey guys, I was riding my 2001 sportsman 500 the other day and all of a sudden it made a clicking noise and then stopped. When I tried to start it back up, all it does is make a mechanical clicking noise coming from the crank case. So I opened the case and tried replacing the starter bendex thinking that my old one wasn’t engaging and that wasn’t it, the new Bendex still won’t engage the flywheel. Any help?
Since the weather has started cooling off I have been having trouble starting my girlfriends 400HO. It does not matter what position the choke is in it is very hard to start. Also after running for a few hours it still does not want to start or stay ideling. Before the temps started to drop it would idle steady around 1200 rpm.
Has anyone ever ran into this or could someone direct me on what to look for? The quad has around 2600 miles and 300 hours on it.

Hi, I am not new to quads, as I owned a 2007 CF Moto Moose as my first quad.. It was a hard driven machine but worked well for the dollars I had into it, I had it for about 3 years.. Sold it along with other toys to buy a plane…
Now I missed having a quad so I just purchased a 2016 Outlander Max 450 L with DPS. So far I have put about 300+ kms on it and have loved every moment riding, some as a passenger.
Taking it back hunting in November. I’m thinking that with the size of my quad, that I will be the one bringing out the deer on the back rack, second seat off… As there are no trails near my home, I bought a nice enclosed trailer to haul/store it in.. From what I hear from the first message I read, I am almost due for my first engine oil change.. The Owners Manual is vague in that line of maintenance. I live near Belleville Ontario so if any of you live near, I’m looking for riding companions to run some or the rail-beds, hydro lines and local trails. I don’t mind trailering a bit to get to a nice place to ride.
Hope to hear from someone soon…
