So since these ATV’s don’t have wet clutches, they don’t and shouldnt need the oils designed for wet clutches correct?

If thats the case then can you run basically whatever engine oil you wish? (Obviously some will be more recommended than others)

Reason I ask is I like Redline products and I’m considering running it if I can find one that meets specs.

Hello I have a 2015 Polaris sportsman 570 touring. I bought a hitch cargo carrier rated at 300 pound for car but only 50 for atv. I wanted to use it to transport deer out of the woods. Witch would be roughly 150 to 200 deer weight and 27 pounds for the carrier. Now is it that the 1 1/4 atv hitch won’t support the weight or is it rated low because of smaller machines would be front end light. My touring is pretty big and heavy so I guess my only concern would be snapping the hitch. What’s your opinion. Thanks for the input

Sure you have had this debate before but trying to pick the best ATV for my use. Been looking at the Can Am 650 or 800 ,2010 to 2014 as I want power steering. I am not looking for speed. It will be used in the bush towing wood logs or a wagon load with wood, and yes riding around too. I know the Can am 650 would have lots of power but as a work horse not sure been reading that the Can am is not the best unit for this type of work. Hearing about broken axles and the belt slipping and higher regular maintenance cost. Maybe should look at a different Atv name but heart set on the can am.

My son’s 2wd 420 foot shift model has started making a roaring noise coming from transmission. Got worse over the last day or so. When you get a Lil speed and push and hold shifter down the noise stops till u release shifter and it goes back into gear. It shifts and pulls through all gears great.

Hi there, I just joined the forum as I bought a nearly new (370 km) 2016 Grizzly yesterday for a bit of a steal. I’m looking to take the nearly new 27" Zillas off my sportsman and put them on the Grizzly. The tires are 27×9 and 27×11. Will they fit on the stock steel wheels without spacers? There seems to be a lot of clearance in the Grizzly but I just want to make sure they won’t be rubbing on anything.

I also need to keep this thing under 50" as that’s the width of my trailer. I didn’t even think of that until now. I was planning on buying a new trailer in the spring when add a RZR to the fleet but was hoping to get by with the 4×8 trailer for now. I suppose I can always put it in my truck if need be.

I also assume I’ll have to do something with the clutching. I’ve read a bit about the spacer mod for the clutch. From what I gather a 1.5mm spacer should do the trick. Let me know if thats not right.

I have a problem with my display, it seems the odometer resets every time I turn the key off, the hour counter seems to work, it has like 770 hours on it, and resets to that number when the key is turned off…

I am also trying to program the service interval and changing from Mph to Kmh (sorry guy I am European 🙂 )I can chance with the button, and the display flashes and stops indicating the programming worked, but it never works, and always go back to the setting before…

I am wondering if anyone has had the same problem, and if maybe there is a way to make a "hard reset" of the computer, or whatever it is..

I am new to Polaris, bought the 2006 sportsman 800 as a non runner, its now running fine but this problem bugs me….

Box has seen better days but it still works well. It has some heat damage on a corner but has been running like this for over 300 miles. PM for pics

I am new to the forum and am rebuilding a 1986 200 sx. The electrical all worked fine and the bike would start until I installed a slightly larger 12 volt battery, then it all shut own electrically. The aTV will run by pull start with switch on, but no lights, starter, indicator lights come on. Also, I did check and replace the main fuse.

Any ideas or suggestions.

Just got a brand new 2016 Rancher es model and have not even put half a mile on it. Went to load it on the trailer to take out and the PGM-FI indicator is blinking (2 slow blinks and then 3 fast). Was planning on taking back to dealer Monday but was wondering if there is anything I can try before having to drive 40 miles each way. Thanks guys
