I have a 2007 rancher 420 FM SRA. Looking to make my own gear reduction. Don’t want to spend $650 for one. Does anyone know how to go about doing this? Doesn’t have to be a big one just trying to spin 29.5s a little better.

2007 Honda rancher cutting off
I have a 07 Honda rancher that keeps chocking off every 5-10 minutes and will not start again until it sits for a few minutes. It will sit anf idle fine, its only while im riding it around. I have installed a new fuel pump. my battery holds a charge to it so I don’t think it is a stator problem. I have asked around but noone was able to help with this problem.

2007 Get Bent Metalworks Chromoly 2 seat chassis. Some upgrades and new body panels in 2013 at Get Bent Metalworks. New paint in 2013. New nuts and bolts everywhere in 2013. New Engine build and fresh transaxle installed in Feb 2015 by Arrowlane.
New LS7 block, Callies crank, Scat H beam rods, Mahle forged Pistons, CNC ported Z06 heads with Titanium valves. Nice Cam… Sounds awesome! Precision machine/Jeff Davis intake. Arrowlane custom headers. Dynoed 520HP to the tires with moderate tune at Arrowlane.
Mendeola MD4S-2D transaxle with the works. G50 main shaft, Weddle gears, Kennedy stage 4 clutch. 2 weekend trips and 3 day trips on Trans and engine. Works flawlessly!
Gear one mid bore 930 Race CV with 300m parts and axles.
Howe power rack steering. Zero bump steer. Turns with one finger!
King shocks with Bypass in the rear tuned by Ed the shock guy. Shocks rebuilt in 2013.
New Autometer Gauges Tach, Oil PSI, Oil Temp, Water temp
Rugged Radio intercom/radio with behind the head headsets.
New Lowrance HD5S GPS
Vision X light bar and Baja designs front lights
New Sparco Evo 3 seats with new Crow 5 point belts
Mounted tool bag with spare belts and filters
Mounted cooler with drain
This car works flawlessly! Starts right up, never gets over 190 degrees and that’s getting after it. Usually around 180. Wheelies easily in 2nd and 3rd. I dont want to go into full detail of everything that happened with this company. The Can-Am’s obviously come with steel cable winch lines. I was going to upgrade but my first purchase was for my bro for christmas, an orange amsteel blue winch line and aluminum hawse fairlead. Very longstory short, there was a hiccup with the order, but they went above and beyond, and then way way beyond. If that makes any sense. Yes he did get his goodies in time for christmas. Extremely great customer service, I will not be shopping anywhere else for any winching/extraction products.
