Buying 1000 Sportsman High lifter

Probably going to happen today. Does the $1000 rebate apply to the High Lifter line? I’m going to really try and get these guys down on the price, went in looking to spend in the area of ten grand, looking at the 850 HL, and they want to sell me a thousand they have sitting on the floor. I’m going to be a hard ass and see how low they are willing to go, how bad do they really want it off their floor?
Are these selling like hot cakes now that they have been out for a while? This one is on the floor, how long to get an 850 to central Florida, miles and hours on bike, what are the rate differences if any… sorry thinking out loud.

TRX300 Neutral Indicator sensor

I have no illumination of the Neutral light on the dash and I think the switch is the problem. The wire seems to be good and connects tightly. I tried to remove the switch using a deep well socket but I could not get a socket to fit. I think maybe it must require a socket with thin side walls. It appears to be about a 14mm nut. Any advice? Also what is the other switch or sensor just below the Neutral and reverse sensors that also has a green wire? See attached photos.

2002 Sportsman Wiring Q

My 2002 Sportsman 500 wasn’t charging so I bought an aftermarket stator and voltage regulator. The kid who works for me installed it but can’t figure out where a wire goes.

He had the brown ground wire plugged into that comes off the bottom rear of the ignition coil jumped over to the front terminal on the ignition coil and couldn’t figure out what the blue wire went to. According to the wiring diagram the blue wire was supposed to go to that terminal if I read it correctly and the brown goes to a ground I think. So I swapped the blue and brown but can’t figure out where that brown wire is supposed to go.

I started the machine like shown in the photo, had to pull it because battery was dead (I left key on) and it started/ran fine but wouldn’t shut off. Kill switch near brake and key wouldn’t shut it down.

2007 trx400ex top end rebuild kits

I need to rebuild the top end on my 2007 trx400ex (smoking really bad) I am in the process of pricing out the cost of doing this and sourcing the cheapest way possible with decent results. Looking at OEM parts which I would probably get from Honda Shop looks to be very expensive considering I will most likely have to bore my cylinder.

Im looking to stay around the $200 range on this rebuild if possible. I have looked at many rebuild kits but not sure of any reviews on them. I have seen full kits (gaskets, piston, cylinder, etc) on ebay for $150 to $200.

Has anyone used a rebuild kit like this off of ebay before and what were your results? Can you recommend a kit you used for 2007 model?

Has anyone had a honda shop do their rebuild and what was the price range they charged for doing this?

Thanks

Jetting problem

I bought a 400ex and it sputters when i am going wide open, and constantly pops and backfires when i let off the throttle, but everywhere in the middle it runs fine, it has a full white brothers e series exhaust, air box lid on, 170 main jet, 38 pilot jet, air screw 3 turns out, and the needle is at the 3rd position from the top, any ideas?

04 TRX350TE vs 2011 Rubicon: To trade or not to trade

Okay so I’ve found a 2011 Rubi an hour and a half away from me. I have seen pics of it but haven’t seen it in person. I will attach pics in a post below this one. The owner says it doesn’t run because he sunk it and now it needs a top end. He also said it has a blown solenoid. The bike has no tires and no battery in it. Cosmetically it seems to be in great condition. In the pictures I can’t see any rust and almost all of the body plastics are there and seem to be in good condition. it just looks like it needs to be washed lol. I told the guy to hook it to his truck and jump the solenoid with a screw driver and send me a video so that I could make sure the bottom end is good / not locked up.

Mine is a 2004 rancher es 2wd. Mine has the following
-2" lift
-4" spacers
-20" light bar
-6" light bar
-26" Super Swampers
-12" Vision rims
-UNI air filter
-new bearings all the way around.

mine smokes pretty bad because the rings are gone, the frame is bend, my fenders are busted, my racks are rusty, and none of my brakes work.

The deal we have worked out is I keep the 20" light bar and trade him my bike and he trades me the Rubicon + 300$. I have a set of tires to go on it and the 300$ will give me money to rebuild it with.

What do you guys think? Should I do it or does it sound too good to be true?
