I need some help on deciding what atv to get, a 2016 570 L DPS max or 2016 650 DPS max? I just sold my 2014 650 XMR, I’m worried that the 570 won’t have enough power for me. How fast is the 570 compared to a 650 xmr? The price difference is about $2500, so I’m leaning towards the 570. Please help me out.
Worked on a Shifting problem today. Changed out the shift angle sensor. I pulled way too much plastic off, but then I thought I knew what was doing. Sensor is NOT on the Front of the Crankcase cover like a lot of others. On this Rancher it’s on the Rear Crankcase cover. If I had jacked up the back end and pulled the plastic skid plate off the middle section, I would have found it. It’s just a little off center on the left. 2 cap screws needing a 4mm allen wrench and pulling the gray connector off. 3 wires to this. Others have mentioned that the new sensor needs to be "pre-loaded" to fit onto the offset "key". Remove the old one and match the new one. That’s what I did and it worked well for me.
I also went to the front Crankcase cover and about dead center is the shift motor. 5 screws, 3 that hold the motor and 2 shorter ones on the bottom of the "gear case" All 5 must be removed. I found very little grease in there but I did remove it and put some Lithium Grease on the gears. I had read that the grease get hard when its cold and is another cause of weird shift problems.
Tested this out and all is good. If I had to change the Shift Angle Sensor out again, it would on take about 30 minutes.

2001 Ds650 with spark, I’m trying to cross things off as possible reasons. The kill switch is working i’m getting 6v ac off the stator and .6v ac out if the spark pickup. Are those numbers correct and if so what am I missing. Is it possible both could went bad at the same time because I have no spark on with plug. Thanks in advance

Not sure if this is the right topic for here I am new. I have come into posesion of a ORV with a Honda ATV engine on it. the engine runs strong but need some parts and can not find any info on it. I was told it came off a 3 or 4 wheeler. the only numbers i can find anywhere on the engine is this in the picture.

Hard to start. I hit the starter button and it turns over fine but does not start until I take pressure off the starter button. And still then it won’t start every time.
It will just turn over and over?
Any ideas?
Man I love this thing. Made my best butt ever yesterday. Much better than my Cajun Injector electric smoker. I love that charcoal flavor. That’s all I have to say. Just showing off my new toy!
