maybe this should be at top of technical discussions. a lot of people dont seem to see it. i didn’t pay attention to it for months. as soon as i seen Repair and Maintenance, i jumped in without looking any further. i had previously downloaded service manual, and have cleymers, but i was so interested in my problem, i only didn’t focus on any other subjects, and there are quite a few. it is one of the most important subjects for the uninformed.

hi I need help on how to replace water pump seal ?

My previous ATV had a rear drop basket on it but I decided to go with a flat rack on the new Honda. What do you guys do to hold your cargo in the flat rack other than bungee cords? My ATV is used 100% of the time on my land and at any given time my cargo will consist of bushes, limbs, chain saws, hammers, tools, sprayers, fencing tools, etc. I should’ve went with another drop basket but since I have the flat rack now, what do you use to contain your tools, etc?

My2009 450 has been losing engine brake and most recently on our last ride together my girlfriend told me everytime she decelerated it made a grindy noise. I disassembled everything, and did test according to Yamaha procedures in the book. One way and clutch performed as they should, however wet clutch has about 6/10 mm of fiber left on the perimeter of clutches. Does anyone have pix of what inside of clutch housing should look like ? Are there grooves in it ? I don’t want to spend another $200 + for housing etc, if unnecessary, at the same time I don’t wanna cheap out and eat a clutch:gcrules:

I have a 2016 570 EPS and a 2016 450 HO EPS. I was thinking of getting a snorkel kit. I’ve never done this before. So, this is a newb question:

With the battery so low in the machine..does it do any good to snorkel? I know I could raise the intakes, but can your battery survive being submerged? I know its in a case…but it it would seem like water would get in.

Hello All!

Looking forward to being a member and contributing here. Will have my first Can Am shortly after a bunch of years in the RZR scene, a 2016 XMR 1000. Wasn’t a fan of the 2017 colours so picking up a 2016 in Silver and Blue.

My sons 2013 Rancher 420 Trail Edition has rear disc brakes. I drove it last night and the rear brakes seem really soft, almost they aren’t working. Isthere an adjustment for the rear brakes. The pads are good.

Have an 2008 Grizz 700

2007-2008 Yamaha Grizz shows parts #1S3-81890-00-00
2009 and up shows part # 28p-81890-00-00

Called Yamaha Canada and they couldn’t tell me.
Rear mount looks different but bolt holes look like same locaton for bolts. Wire hooks up on end of starter vs at the top.

Cooked starter in 843cc and if later model starter is the is better one ,would like to install that one

Question is, will a 2009 and up starter bolt into a 2007-2008 ?
