Pulled the trigger on a big lift for the 800 xmr and built lift for the 570.

I sold my 2" lift that was on my 800 xmr.. I was searching for a used 4" catvos. I found a few for reasonable prices. They were all either missing components or looked too rough for the price.. A new Catvos was out of the question after my friends catvos lift had him down 3 weeks trying to get a replacement axle and trailing arm.

I ordered a SATV 6" lift yesterday, hesitantly. … Then came across a great deal on a brand new Cfab 6" lift today. Canceled my SATV lift and bought the cfab lift.. I still need axles and brake lines for the cfab lift.. Corey at Cfab is powdercoating everything and will install all the bearing. I will order the axles next week.. I haven’t decided if I should use Turners, Gorrilla or Cobra. I see its a 50/50 chance on the rhino axles lasting.

I have a new tps sensor. I still need to order a bored throttle body and the new PCV with timing control..

I extended my stock 800 xmr trailing arms and put on my wifes 570.. next I will either make a 1.5" bracket lift or put a set of rear shocks up front. The rear shocks are 1.25" longer with no pucks.. I will also make the front lower arms adjustable.. Her 570 is getting 31" tirez even though it clears 33s fine..

Another rant over my POS BEST warranty.

So with the bike missing, sputtering and always having a dead spot in the throttle. I had enough trying to tune it. One day it just wouldn’t run right. Pulled my PCV a few weeks ago thinking it was my problem. After that is when these problems got worse. Pulled tb cleaned it and tested tps.all was good.. Took to dealer after a check engine code for tps. So the dealer reset tps and erased the codes. Ran fine for 2 days. Then it started doing it again. I then noticed oil leaking everywhere.. on the motor. Pulled dipstick, oil starts pouring out. Smells like gas.. changed oil and filter. Took to dealer. Surely they can’t deny this..

They finally called me today. Basically accused it all being my fault. The exhaust probably burnt up the rings or valves cause it’s running to lean. This is what caused gas into the oil.. my bike does not smoke and they completely ignored the fact gas is seeping out around where intake bolts to front cylinder.

Oh it gets better.

What really pi$$ed me off is they accused me of adjust the idle screw on the side of the tb under the inspection cover. Which I did not do.. u can clearly see someone turned it.. due to the wax marker not lined up.they worked on it last. I know better then touch that.because of this screw being turned , warranty void. BRP says that once this screw is turned the tb has to be replaced. I did not turn the dam thing.

Forget the fact the tps has gone haywire twice and it’s dumping fuel. Cost me $120 to get my bike back… I’m so mad right now..

Thinking about Building a Gade from scratch..

I have been wanting a 1000 Renegade for a while.. so I have come to the conclusion, why not just build one from the ground up the way I want it? Found many bare chassis online for pretty cheap with a title. I don’t want to keep modifying my 800 xmr and make it unreliable. I pretty much have it where I’m happy with it.

Here what I am thinking on a Gen 2 Gade. Bare chassis to start, 1000 Mav motor, Mav rear diff with Cfab brace kit, front diff with halo locker, I can source alot of the other stock parts used. Like DPS, harness, fuel tank ,etc etc. Probably a 4" lift, GP shocks, New plastics, and everything else I can upgrade.

Will be a slow project. What I am wondering about is the trans. Alot of people are putting the 6×6 trans in their mavs for the gear reduction. I’m wondering if the 6×6 trans has more gear reduction then the 800 xmr or 1k xmr?

What do u think? This would be a true monster. I would think it will be cheaper then buying a running Gade and tearing it down.

Well $$$$ !!!! New problems with 800. Engine brake, missing and front diff

It seemed all was fixed after the dealer reset it all. We went for a ride last weekend. First thing I noticed. No engine brake, it tried to work one time then stopped.. I replaced the secondary with another stocker cause mine was warped… Put on a gates carbon belt and went back to 1021 primary spring. That’s all I did. So what causes this?

Then I went to to ride it the other day. And now it’s missing and seems to be on one cylinder below 4k rpm. Above that it runs fine and idles fine. Even at times the throttle hangs high for a few seconds then comes back down. Even does it in neutral or park…

Now I’m hearing a clanking in the front diff. It’s not very loud . But it’s there…

Uggghhh, I’m getting so frustrated with this…

Should I get some OL2S or lighter tires.

I met a guy today who bought a brand new high lifter rzr today and is pulling off the 29.5 ol2s this friday. Said he would take $600 for all four. I am very tempted as I have been researching a lighter mud tire and 31 ol’s were on my maybe list. Which he has a set for $400 but the tread is worn below the cups in the lugs.only in very center of tire.

I like my 32s , they pull great in mud. But I’m wanting to try a lighter tire and I don’t think the 29.5 ol2s are much lighter then my 32 mudder inlaws. Maybe 6 lbs difference. . Should I try the 29.5 ol2’s out for the price or just buy new 31 ol’s?
