Hey all, new to the forum but I have issues with it overheating, my boy was riding it with a bunch of "engineers" from Polaris and the t in the rad hose broke so they pieced it back together and dumped ice water in it when it was still at 250 degrees, (have a aftermarket temp gauge mounted on the fender) well I took it apart and put a new head gasket in it now it doesn’t blow anti freeze out the overflow resivor. It gets to 250 degrees yet but only boils over if I open the rad cap just a little. New cap and the thermostat checked out good. Also when running down the road it sounds like it’s shifting into a different gear? If I let it sit and idle it gets to like 220 the fan kicks in and drops to 160ish. Only when going down the road does it get to the 250 mark? What would cause this? Thanks for any and all help. Bob

04 twinn 600 bad cam?
Hello, ive been working on my 04 600 sportsman and am having a problem with it running.first off last year i noticed smell of gas when i shut it off to go hunting and i had to pull choke out to get more power,so i decided to get a new carb for it.i put it on and then discovered the intake boot was torn(probably why i had to keep choke out).replaced that and it will idle fine but if i try to give it gas it falls on its face, and sounds funny at carb.if i pull choke out i can get it to rev up and it will run better but it feels like i can feel gas/air blow back to my hand.new gas filter, carb, plugs, and compression is 90 and 120 psi.something is not right here.it only has 600 hours and 4000 miles on it could it really be a cam or jump time in that length of miles?if so is this something a guy can fix without taking to a dealer?im not scared of a wrench,i have a manual but it shows polaris tool this and that quite a bit.thanks for looking and opinions would be great
1997 big bear rear end problem
Hey, not reLly sure if the forums are still active but I figured I’d give it a try because I’m not ATV smart. I got this 1997 big bear 350 4×4 for free. But the rear end doesn’t spin. When I got it you could spin it my hand and it you make a weird sound but it wouldn’t spin when giving it some gas only the front would spin. So I bought another rear axle and the rear differential?(the thing on the axle) not sure what it’s called. But now the tires won’t move at all. I tried giving it gas and nothing I tried spinning it by hand and it wouldn’t budge. I need help I’m really confused and I don’t want to put much more money into it. Is it because I have it lifted while trying to move the rear tires? I think I read somewhere and the tires not moving if the rear end is up but I have no clue if that’s true. Any help is much appreciated!

2001 Trail Boss front rack????
I just bought a 2001 325 Trail Boss 2×4. Thee is no front rack on it and I cannot find one anywhere or even a part no. Did this model ever come with a rack, either standard or as an option? Is there a rack from another model or year that will bolt on? If not which do you recommend that I can modify but will be the best to start with?

2003 Polaris sportsman 700 overheating
Hey all, new to the forum but I picked up a 2003 700, was running good but then the t in the radiator hose shattered when the kid was running it, long story short it got to like 250 degrees (have a aftermarket temp gauge on it) well they pieced it back together and put water out of the cooler full of ice in it. I replaced the head gasket now it doesn’t blow anti freeze out of the overflow resivor but it still gets to like 250 degrees…. Doesn’t boil over until I open the rad cap just a little. Jacked up the front end to purge it to get the air out. Another thing I noticed is it now sounds like it’s shifting into a different gear when you accelerate with it. It’s not loosing antifreeze but is it possible the head.is cracked from the cold water? And it only acts up going down the road. Sitting idling it will climb to like 220 fan comes on and it drops to like 160 ish. I cleaned out the rad and made sure the thermostat was working properly. Just don’t understand it. Thanks for any and all help
