I just purchased a used Kodiak 450 and noticed it sits lower on the right side. I replaced the right front shock with a good used one because it was leaking fluid. I have checked everything and can not find any problems. The right front tire is leaning out at he top. Any ideas what to look for?

2010 500 H.O. sputter
I noticed under load or hard acceleration the bike would sputter or cut out. It has 1900 miles with 30" mud tires. It runs perfect otherwise throughout the rpm range and at all speeds. Changed coil, plug and wire. Running pure gasoline. I flipped the display over to the tach and put it on a hill to diag and it seems to cut out at 3600-3800 rpm every time under load. Am I looking at clutch/belt problem or should I be looking in the carb? This is the first and only auto trans I’ve ever owned.

2001 Honda 4×4 Rancher 350FM (front differential question)
I have a 2001 4×4 Rancher 350 FM with a manual shift and my front differential is trash (from the previous owner all kinds of bad bearing noise, will not hold oil so I packed in red tac grease in it and it works BUT not the way it should be)
Will a 2002 4×4 Rancher 350 ES front differential fit, (my local Honda dealer says YES) I have one located and it’s in great shape. I’m also going to replace both of the CV’s to the new knuckles with new bearings also and new tie rods. I don’t want to ruin all the new stuff I’ve done to the front end and not do it right.

2003 polaris trailboss 330 seat
I recently had my 2 dogs chew up my seat for my 2003 polaris trailboss 330. They demolished the foam padding and worse they destroyed the seat pan, nothing was salvageable. Where can I find either the whole seat assembly or the seat pan at a reasonable price? Also, what years fit my ’03 polaris trailboss 330? Thanks for the help
30″ SB and 14″ SS Rims
Bought the machine and I took it to my local shop to do work on it. The quad has 1.5 miles on it and I want to sell the OEM rims and tires. PM me if you are interested.

decisions, decisions
Hi everybody. Soooo…..i’m in the market for something new. i kinda have it narrowed down to 3 machines at the moment, but it is like comparing apples to oranges, to yogurt covered raisins. i currently have a 2008 outlander max 650 xt. it’s had a # of problems and i have just lost confidence in it while riding, always worrying about getting too far from home and not being able to make it back. so it’s time for something new, so i can enjoy riding again. the other thing is my 6 year old son is wanting to ride more and more with me and i don’t really like him on the Max because there is really nothing other than his scrawny arms holding him on the machine. so i was thinking a SXS would be better in that respect. i’ve never had a SXS though, i just drove one for the first time yesterday at my can am dealer. i’m wondering who has switched over from an ATV to SXS and if you had reservations and how you felt after having it for a while. did you miss having an ATV? so, here are the 4 machines i tried yesterday and my feelings about them.
(1) 2016 Commander 1000XT. sweet ride, very comfy. i liked how the seats surround you. i think it would be a good fit for the boy. i wonder how bad engine heat is, seeing as you are sitting on top of the motor though? i would also have to buy a new trailer with this too, bringing the total cost up to a decent car payment…. very nice ride though.
(2) 2016 Outlander Max 1000XT. obviously this felt the most natural… good ride, tons of power, i got into the throttle just a little and i could tell it had a ton of throttle left. power steering is nice, mine doesn’t have it. a lot more heat protection than mine around the motor. i could get this machine and know i would be perfectly happy, i would just need to figure out a way to get the boy more secure. awesome machine, dont really need the 1000 though.
(3) i told you i was comparing apples to oranges to yogurt covered raisins….so here is the raisin. 2016 Honda Pioneer 500. i know…i know.. not even close to the other two machines, but definitely better priced. there are a couple of things i really like about this machine. the paddle shifters. i miss being able to shift, and these are a blast. the other thing i really like is that is is a plain jane machine. no bells and whistles, just good old Honda reliability. that being said….it’s not nearly as comfy as the Commander, didn’t expect it to be, but its almost half the price. that’s a plus. power steering would be nice. i’m not concerned so much about the power, or lack thereof….its a pretty fun machine to drive. plus it would fit better in my local trails. and it would be better for the boy than the Max. ride did seem a bit stiff though. worried about comfort after a long day riding. the seats are surprisingly comfy, for not having a ton of cushin like the commander. i think i would really enjoy this machine on shorter rides….hard to tell about long rides.
(4) i am not really considering this machine because of the size of it…trying to keep it under 60” wide. but i also tried a Honda Pioneer 1000 and i must say…. i really liked it. out of the SXS’s this by far had the best throttle control. it has an automotive style transmission and the throttle is just like a car. very smooth. i like the way it shifts, and it also had paddle shifters if you want to shift yourself. the thing i really like too is three seats. then all of us could go….its just so wide, i worry about coming to a place i cant get through. it felt like this machine had a ton of power. plus it had low range, diff lock, turf mode, yada, yada yada. and i thought the power steering was better than the commander. surprisingly the seats just weren’t as comfortable as i imagined for something so big and nice feeling. i think out of all the machines, fit and finish were the best on this machine. it was also the most expensive.
i guess i’m just kinda looking for feedback. pro’s and con’s about when you switched over to a side by side from an ATV. i know i would be happy with a new Max, i know i would have fun with a Pioneer 500 (it made me grin running through the gears), and i know i would be comfy in the Commander. i’m just not sure which means the most to me, haha.

1994 Honda Trx300FW Rear Differential Pop
Just bought this great ATV a few months back. Haven’t ever worked on these before, I had little knowledge on basic "repairs and maintence". This forum has helped me tremendously with information regarding carb rebuilds and cv axle rebuilds. Thanks in advance for all the great help!
I now have a new problem. While riding today, I noticed a loud popping sound coming from the rear end. I had figured it was the rear differential because when I first got this, the axle nuts were backed off a good 2-3 inches from the case and brake drum! I tightened them back up before the ride. Everything seemed fine until the end of our journey when the popping began. I tore the nuts back off to check the bearings and I believe they are shot ( at least on the far left differential side) I was hoping a simple bearing replacement is all that is necessary and that I would to replace everything up the the pinion. What are your thoughts?
The first two images are of the differential bearing and the brand new oil. (Oil was flushed four different times before the problem because what I found beforehand was a muddy gritty goup.)
The second is the break drum seal. Not sure if it looks alright or not.

Sorry for lengthy post but I felt the need to be thorough.

2006 400ex accel problem and front sprocket question
I have been wracking my brain but there must be dust up there because I am still confused. So when starting, I have to play with choke lever on/off till it is warmed up. When I give it throttle, it pops and backfires out the carb. If I touch the throttle and slowly climb the rpm’s everything is fine. My experience is telling me the carb needs cleaning. Could the primary need to be raised?
Also, I am changing out sprockets and chain. I have read that the front stock sprocket is a 14t. The sprocket on my bike is a 13t. It is a stock sprocket. I also called the original owner and asked if he replaced or upgraded the sprockets and he never touched them (which I could tell from the lack of cleaning on this bike.) So did Honda ever randomly put 13t front sprockets on?
