Upon delivery of the 2017 Defender HT Cab HD10, the wind caught the driver side door and the strap immediately tore. The strap keeps the door from slamming into the dump bed. The woven fiber is like a backpack strap, and Can-Am simply melted in a plastic grommet for the torq screw holes. The grommet ripped, and the torq screw then ripped the woven fiber to its end 1/2" away.
Glad it’s warranty; I don’t have a tool that can fit onto the torque screw nut in a hollow facing the rear window. Poor engineering for suicide doors and a cab!
Also, the winch was retracted too far and the rubbers are no longer on the outside. More warranty work.
Battery was toast, so I ran jumper cables from an Optima Red Top off one of my Jeeps. If will barely turn over. At first I thought it was out of time. Was blowing back into the airbox and backfired a couple of times. I covered the air intake boot with my hand and it would start and run. Didn’t want to start until I partially covered the air intake with my hand, partially restricting airflow. WTH? Would run and rev once I got it started.
Turns over really slow until I cover the intake with my hand, then spins over faster and starts.

I’m doing the top end on my 1999 sportsman 500. What do you guys think of the namura top end gasket kits? It comes with valve seals. Will these gaskets last just as long as the stock gaskets?
I recently bought a 2007 Can Am Outlander 500xt and was looking over some things on it. I came across this deal.. (pictures attached). It is located kind of by the rear axle. I lifted the rubber flap and it opened right up, the piece that I am holding in the pics is what fell out. I went to the other side and the same rubber is there, but it is clamped and sealed tight so I couldn’t open that one. Definitely thinking I shouldn’t be able to open this other one up.. let alone have a piece just fall out of it. Can anyone tell me what it is? Is it a serious issue and do I need to look at getting it fixed asap? Thanks!

I have a couple of plastics I need to order replacements for after a minor collision (all front fender pieces)
I’ve checked every source of parts I know and am running into a couple issues:
1. All of the sites only list 2 grizzly models for parts:
GRIZZLY EPS 4WD LE (YFM70GPLHR)
GRIZZLY EPS 4WD SE (YFM70GPSHS)
there seems to be no option at all for just a standard Grizzly EPS 4WD (YFM70GPXHG). To my knowledge the G at the end refers to the color which is the main issue I have.
2. For the plastic I need, I need the green color but can’t seem to find that. Examples:
part #2UD-F330D-40-00 is the front panel for the YFM70GPSHS and I believe silver (the part directly in front of the removable "hood" you take off to access the battery)
part #2UD-F330D-30-00 is the same part for the YFM70GPLHR and I believe will be red
Even the Yamaha parts site doesn’t list my model anywhere. Fortunately some of the plastic I need is just black on all the bikes which is easy but for the parts I need that are green does anyone have ideas on how to go about getting them?
I’ve checked Yamaha parts house and Yamaha themselves but so far no luck.
Anyone out there install superatv power steering on their xp? Looking for advise on installing the motor into the mount, I can’t seem to get it in there. Any advise on how you did it would be of great help. I’m on the right side of the quad and have the shock out of the way I just can’t maneuver it in there. Of coarse superatv is closed today or I would call them.
I have the barker duals full exhaust installed and they sound great but im wondering if anybody is having the same issue when going in deep water, it start going in and shut the atv off even in full throttle, im starting to think it does not have enough pressure to keep water out.
This is the new 250 donor quad being pulled apart for the engine. Picked it up from Cornwall, UK, as you can see, it’s spent a lot of time on the beach!
