I have a 2015 Polaris sportsman 570 with electronic power steering. A message kept coming up on my dash saying lo volts. Sometimes it goes low enough that the eps quits also. I thought maybe I had a weak battery so I went and replaced the battery. Got the new one home and charged and put it in my atv and sure enough I’m having the message come up. What would be my next best option. It seems to me like it could be the voltage regulator or stator I just hate to put money into replacing parts that don’t need replaced. Any ideas? Anyone have experience with Bad Boy mowers? I’m considering a Bad Boy Maverick (60") since they can be had at Tractor Supply ($6K).

Wife and I recently moved to 8.5 acre place that has approx 3.5 acres in grass to mow (mostly wooded). Previous owner left two mowers with the sale of the house (50" RTZ, and 54" Husqvarna tractor). Both are a bit beat (considering all the roots etc, I can see why) and I want to get rid of them.

I have a Kubota BX23 (small TLB with 60" mower deck) but I’d rather use a dedicated zero turn for mowing (lots of trees to mow around). I’d really like a diesel zero turn, but don’t feel like spending that much on a mower so I was considering the Bad Boy. Evidently, the Maverick has some suspension (mostly rubber bushings) that is supposed to take some of the shock out of the ride. I believe that the Bad Boy mowers have a very heavy duty deck that I know will be needed.

If anyone has experience with this brand or other recommendations, I’d like your input before I pull the trigger.

Hello. I’m new on this forum but not new to ATVs. I own (since new) a 2011 Kodiak 450 4×4 and am just starting to have repairs to do on it so I figured this place would be a great resource.

Hi there – brand new to the forum and my 2001 Rancher ES 4×4 I just bought. Total newbie to ATV’s, engines, etc. Bought it to start enjoying riding, and as a fix up project in my spare time to learn about engines. First thing I noticed when looking it over from a high level is most of the lineshoses around the top of the carburator are worncut. They need to be replaced, but I’m having a hard time determining which exact parts they are and where to buy them. I tried searching the forums but I’m finding vaccum lines, vent lines, gas line, etc. I’m not sure what I need and would like to just buy a kit that has basically all of the lines included. Having a hard time finding anything like that. The ones in question are very visible as soon as you take the seat off. They run right along the top of the carb and at one point join a Y-like connector. Can anyone point me to the best place to find these parts, and possibly what their exact name(s) are? Thanks much.

I’m sure this subject has been covered in depth, but I’m new, so bear with me. I just purchased a 1998 TRX300FW 4×4 last week. Runs good (no smoke), but idles erratically. I opened the gas cap to add fuel and saw rust in the tank. Decided to check the bowl screen in the petcock. There is none and I found the petcock will not shut fuel off completely. Petcock bowl was full of rust sediment. Drained the tank as best I could, but I think sediment is preventing complete drain in normal and reserve petcock settings. Time to take off the tank. Looks like I’ll have to remove the carb and check it too for rust debris. Oh well.

What have you guys been using to clean tanks and rustproof them? I have seen videos on muriatic acid, vinegar, etc. Just looking for real-world experience before I get in too deep, haha.

So I’ve run into a bit of a problem, old battery kept dying on me. Bought a new one and after a dune trip had some problems starting it, when it eventually started I rode for a while and when a stopped it wouldn’t start again.

Just wondering whether something could be wrong because I’ve fully charged the battery and when the bike idles the voltage reads around 13.9- 14.

I want to have the new battery tested today, hopefully this one isn’t buggered as well.

Any hints as to what this may be?

Hi guys I purchased a 2009 grizzly 700fi
I can’t keep it running as soon as I get it to start
It shuts right back off I changed the intake air temapture sensor and have also changed the spark plug and put a new fuel pump on it I have also checked the throttle angle sensor and checked out good after I chenged the plug the bike started up and idled until I went to give it gas now it’s back doing the same thing also if I take the air box off and cover the throttle body it will idle sometimes thanks any input would be great
