OLD ATV 2009 GRIZZLY 700 CAMO – This atv was AWESOME!!!
Mods
uni air filter
clutch:
1.5 mm shim
4 14g weights with 4 stock (20 g) wieghts. average out at 17 gram
28" zilla tires.
Thats all I had on this ATV and this thing would stand straight up and run like crazy. Sold it because rode very hard and wanted to get something newer/ less miles and not beat.
I ride HARD and in lots of mud and this was my base for my new one. But I wanted at least the same performance or more.
NEW ATV 2013 GRIZZLY 700 bought stock with 155 miles on it when I got it. Now has 350 miles on it.
I got to clutching right away as it seemed very slow out the gate.
Clutch to date:
Coop45 mod on primary shieve
18 gram wieghts from a 660 – all 8
purple secondary spring.
27 inch zilla tires with aftermarket rims.
My Issues. This thing still runs so so so slow. Barely will lift the tires off the ground. I even put the stock tires back on it and same issue. It seems like it just does not have the snap and torque that the last one had. Thought I may have just been remembering something wrong, so i rode my bosses stock 07 grizzly and that thing has more snap to it stock which does not make me happy. the 07 will lift the tires with hardly a problem.
There is a slight whirring or whining noise that seems to be present when coming to a stop below 5 mph, One way bearing? But that shouldnt effect having enough power and engine braking works great with no clunking or other strange noise?
I feel like I have to be missing something. I have taken the clutch apart 4 times now making sure it is together correctly. Proper torque and everything going back together.
My next move is to get 8 16 gram weights to try to make it better as it seems to bog a little too low. I know adding the stiffer secondary spring is supposed to act similar to adding lighter wieghts in the primary, but I don’t know how true that is.
Maybe a new belt, but 300 miles on a belt is nothing.
I dont want to stick more and more time and money into something that is getting me no where. I know its hard to explain on typing the exact nature of the problems, but other than the clutch mods it is in perfect condition and stock.
What else can I look at here that may be an issue. It almost runs like the brake is on or something (which its not).
Did they dumb these things down so far from a 09 to a 13 or make some stupid changes?
I love my grizzly’s but this is frustrating.
Thank you to all who read this long winded explanation!

new RV ST tire Goodyear Endurance availability
Looking for a bit more information regarding GOODYEAR ENDURANCE tires.
I understand this is a new tire by Goodyear intended for trailers with tires that carry the ST designation. Some important claimed features which is drawing me to the tire: USA made, higher speed rating and lower heat resistance.
Reason for my post is I’m hitting the replacement age on my current set of travel trailer tires, they are going to by 6 years old this spring, and my trailer has a GVWR of 9500 lbs, loaded weight being between 8500 – 9000 lbs.
My question is about availability of this tire since it seems recently announced. Is it currently available and if not, any idea when it will become available? The DT website indicates the tire is special order but I’m curious if it is even available yet or should I be looking at something else? I’m looking at this tire for replacement coming up this April.
88 Fourtrax 300 4×4 water/engine issues
Also in air filter change should you coat the foam with oil?
Thanks
Hello From New Brunswick
I’m new to this site, but not new to atv forums. I’ve been on a few such as Nyroc, Kawi Riders, RZR forums, Suzuki Forums and ATV Riders Forums. I’ve been riding for over 30 years and have had several dirt bikes, atvs and one sxs.
My wife and I each have a Grizzly 700 EPS, hers is a 2011 Green, and mine is a 2014 SE Tactical Black. We haven’t had any issues yet but I thought I’d join this forum just to read up on what others are doing, recommending and saying to avoid. It never hurts to educate oneself on your ride.
I live in New Brunswick , Canada and I enjoy riding year round.

Grizzly 700 size
Im soon getting myself a "new" grizzly 700FI 2007 model.
I need new tires to stock rim. I have found some ITP Mudlite XL in 26×10-12 and 26×12-12 barely used.
Can anyone recommend these tires? And about size, there will be no problem thinkin about clearance ect? The Grizz 700 will runs these fine without any mod needed?
