Kodiak 400 carb adjustment screw

Rebuilt the carb on my 2004 kodiak. Put it back on the wheeler and started it up. I need to tune both the idle rpms which is easy using the adjustmen screw that impinges on the throttle on the side of the carb, and adjust the mixing screw on the front of the carb. I’m leaving on a trip this afternoon. Is there a way to adjust the mixing screw without having to take the carb back off the wheeler? You’d think if they meant for it to be adjusted they wouldn’t hide the screw in such a tight spot.

85 fourtrax 250 clutch slipping? Help!

Alright so I recently purchased a Honda fourtrax 250 ultility bike. Engine works great one was bearing is great. However I notice when it’s cold I hit it into 1st and the tires will spin. Go into second and they try to spin but the engine just isn’t grabbing you can rev the piss out of the engine and it won’t spin the tires. Go into third same thing. Doesn’t bog at all. It’s like the clutch isn’t engaging. I recently changed the oil with 10w40 motorcycle oil…. Another thing is the shifter sticks down sometimes and doesn’t always shift when you pull up. ANY HELP APPRICIATED! Thanks

2003 sportsman 600 to 800

I have read that you can convert a 700 sportsman to an 800 with a bigger main jet, different pistons, crank, and balancer. I purchased a 2003 sportsman 600 with a bad crank, can it be changed over to an 800 also? Hard to find and expensive to buy the 600 crank. Thanks

Aully-Park Long Haul Aux. Tank–Mount secure?

I bought the Aully Park 1.3 gallon "Long Haul" auxiliary tank and mount off Amazon. Seems good quality. But, the mount only requires the wing bolt to turn one fourth turn before the tank can come off the mount, and the only thing that keeps the wing bolt crosswise (to keep the tank on the mount) is a couple of raised plastic projections. Anybody have one of these mounts come loose and drop the tank?

Best way to keep fuses dry?

Hey I have a 13 Sportsman 500, and for some amazing reason the fuses are exposed with no cover. Polaris didn’t see the need at the time I guess lol. I have dielectric grease, but is that all I can really do to keep my fuses from getting wet? My bikes snorkeled so would be nice to get in deep water without blowing a fuse lol. Just wondering if there’s other methods

Thanks!

Carb screws shot

Hey guys, just got done cleaning up my carb on a 2000 Foreman 450S. The 4 screws on the float bowl are shot. Does anyone know the size of these so I can pick up some new ones? I would also like to run a tap in the carb body just to clean the holes a bit.

Thanks!
