2015 Sportsman XP 1000 LE Highlifter lower control are upgrade.

Also found with my research that the new 2016 Polaris Sportsman HighLifter edition got all its ground clearance from there 29.5 inch tall tires. So I figures what the heck and ordered those A-arms form Cheap Cycle Parts. Heres one of the 4.
First problem I ran into on the rear A-arms is my quad has the Fox Racing shocks (one of the biggest reasons for buy this quad to me)
See the reservoir on the bottom of the shock and how close it is to the A-arm? Well with the high clearance arm they hit big time. So now what? Well i will say if your sportsman has regular shock then these arms SHOULD fit just fine. I see no problem with them fitting at all. So I started think what if I set my quad up on jack stands with the 2 inch lift in it and measure for the ground to the bottom of the rotor and stet up some blocks for that distance and just fab up my own shock brackets and see if we can make these things work? Also the HighLifter A-arms don’t have sway bar brackets witch I want. So thats what I did. I ended up making the mounts the 2nd try, and once I got those made.
I took the 2 inch lift out of the rear since I had the height I needed and then bolted the shock mounts to the shock and mounted the a-arm on the quad with the blocks under the rotor (for my 2 inch lift height)
Once I got it where i wanted it I tack it in place and pulled a-arm off the quad and welded it up.
Here it is with one HighLift arm on and the other is factory.
Here they are all powder coated and ready for install.
The front arms were easy lol, just install ball-joint and bushings and install.
I’ll get better pics sometime soon, its raining here today so will have to be next week sometime. I’ll also get compairison pics of my factory 2009 850 with shocks turned all the way up to this one so you can see the differance. At the footwell the 09 reads 12.5 inchs and the 15 reads 14.75. I have 27 inch tall tires on my 15 and 26’s on my 09.
Again thanks Jon, and by the way these bushings are bad—.
Rev and/or speed limiter?
I think this due to belt wear, but was it a speed limiter or does this machine have only a rev limit?
I’m not concerned about it, but would like to know.

Another Honda 420 shifting riddle
So I bought a 420 project and the guy said it wouldn’t shift.
I took off the cover off put the linkage back the way it should be and it felt like it was shifting correctly.
Reassembled engine and now it will shift once then stop.
Turn engine off and I can put it in another gear then start it in 2nd gear but won’t move.
it will move in reverse and first but I have to turn the engine off and on to change the gear.
Otherwise with the engine off it will shift to all gears that feels like nothing is wrong.
Before it split the case I wanted to check with you all and see if you’ve heard of any of this happening.
The oil drain screw was stripped so I suspect piece of metal may have broken off in there but why in the world would it change gears with the engine off but not change gears with the engine on?…..very confused
