mounting for a fuse block on a ’16?

I bought a Blue sea fuse block and need some advice on a mounting location on my ’16. Not a lot of room under the "hood," so I’m looking at one of the dry storage spots, or inside a front rack cargo box, or even under the seat where the tool pouch is currently. I wouldn’t even mind mounting it on the left front fender where those stupid riveted placards used to be…if I had a weather proof box to mount it in. The center storage would be easy, but it could be a hassle when taking things apart for cleaning or maintenance if I had to disconnect it every time. Where are others putting thme on ’16s?

87 trx250x has spark, fuel, and comp

Ok my 87 trx250x will not run, I have gotten it started twice by having someone pull me with another quad, it idles great and sound great, anything over about quarter throttle it just cuts out, bogs down, I can not start it by kicking it, I have checked through the hole wire harness, cleaned all connections and grounds, all wires look great, it has good blueish spark when I kick it, the compression was just over 180, when I checked the plug which is brand new it is black and wet, I’ve cleaned it off multiple times and doesn’t help, also the carb has Been completely rebuilt by an atv shop, also has brand new air filter, I just want to ride this dang thing bad and it’s giving me fits, any help is much appreciated, thanks

Larger TB Question

Getting ready to put clutches, a slip on and FC on my 800 Outlander. The next phase of upgrades will be drop in cams and maybe have the TB bored or just get a larger TB. I know more air flow will compliment the cams but what kind of actual gains can I expect going to a 51mm TB? Is it worth going to a larger TB if you don’t go to a larger intake as well? Is there anything else that’s going to need attention when I change the cams and TB? My last question is which skid plates are best. Just kidding!

pull start

I have a 2012 Sportsman 500 HO. It does not have a pull start. I was wondering if I can install one on this model.. most of the kits I see only go to 2011. Is there some kind on internal changes to prevent this addition on the 2012? I like the idea of having a back-up system in case of battery failure

Rear Rack

I need to find something for my 2000 500 4×4. What is your vote for the best rear carry rack? And why? Pics of your fav.s would be helpful as well.

Easy installation and cost is important to me.

04 predator 500 trans won’t stay in 3rd

I have an 04 predator 500 that does not want to stay in 3rd. All other gears run fine and it shifts fine. I have replaced the gears in the trans with the dog ears on them, due to the fact that one broke once before so I changed all those. Bike was together for 4 years without issue before this started happening. I split the case again and changed the shift drum and the 3 forks, same problem. Anyone have an idea of what I’m dealing with? Or a direction to point me in to find someone who can help. Thanks

You look like you might have seen one up close

2006 Polaris Sportsman 800 starts/runs fine for few minutes then runs like crap

I have a 2006 Polaris Sportsman 800 and just got back from a weekend trip to Hatfield McCoy trails in WV. At the end of the second day of riding the Polaris started acting strange. It would start fine and run fine for a minute or two then slowly it would start to struggle to keep speed and after another minute or two it would struggle to do over 15-20 mph. If i stopped and turned the engine off and then restart the engine it would run fine again for another minute or two and then same thing would happen it would lose power until it could barely move itself and i would repeat the process again. Has anyone had experience with this before? I’m not sure where to start with diagnosing this.

Mistress wheels

Well today i put on my summer tires with the new wheels on the mistress today… and before you all say anything i did take the Grizzly out yesterday and played /worked in the snow trying to get to my shed hunting spot..

3WD Outlander

First off, I’m relatively new to this board and this is my first post, so hello everyone! Unfortunately I am having to make my first post about a problem with my front diff (possibly?).

I have a 2016 Outlander L 570 that I bought in December 2015. I have only taken it out a few times and it has less than a hundred miles on it.

Last time I went out to ride the trails were in absolutely horrible shape with huge mud pits everywhere. They are one way trails so there really wasn’t any other alternative than to just try to get through it. I ended up breaking the front right axle at the hub side CV. I replaced it myself with a Rhino axle because I figured it was my fault and they wouldn’t have covered it under warranty anyway. Well today I took it out behind my house to ride for a minute and noticed that I only have 3 wheel drive. No matter what I did I could not get power to the left wheel (this is the opposite side of the axle I broke). I tried getting it in the mud and nothing from the left wheel. I tried climbing a large rock. The right tire climbed it just fine but when I tried to climb it with the left it did nothing.

I jacked up the front of the machine tonight and if I spin the right wheel the front driveshaft spins. If I spin the left wheel the driveshaft does not spin. I then tried to block the right wheel and spin the driveshaft by hand, and then vice versa. No matter what I do I cannot get the driveshaft to spin the right wheel. Granted, I don’t know the significance of these tests. I am not really that mechanically inclined.

Anyone have any suggestions? Does it sound like a broken front differential or something else? I’m a little bummed that I’m having problems already. Worse, I’m afraid if there is something wrong with the diff then they will not cover it under warranty because I broke the right side axle and replaced it with an aftermarket one. 🙁
