I went a ride 16 miles away from my house well when i got where i wanted to go i rode for a bit the the shifter broke with no way to fix it i just put it in 4th and took off in 4th multiple times and than down shifter on the back roads and took of in third multiple times im not worried about it burning up the clutch i was wondering if it would affect the engine? like when i get going it makes a clanking sound so u pull the clutch back in full throttle and dump it and the sound goes away when i get up to speed would it effect the motor long term i did it cause i couldnt ride 16 miles home in first

I am only using my trailer in the summer months, should I add the triton aluminum salt shield? I am just thinking of rocks and debris? I only drive on gravel to get to the trail for about 3/4 of a mile, and I drive very slow because I hate gravel chips on my truck. It also takes me about 1 hour just to reach the trail. Would it even be worth me putting the shield ok on the trailer?

Our new family truck , my first RAM. Drove a 2007 SIERRA SLT crew cab the last 8 1/2" years , and really liked it… BUT

I am getting 21 1/2 AVERAGE mpg driving around town , and that’s with idling for 15-20 mins before I leave the driveway.
It will pull 28-31 mpg on the hwy! My 2007 with the Active fuel managment (8 cylinders shut down to 4 ) I got a average of 14 1/2 mpg with Idling , and about 15 1/2-16 mpg without Idling. the sierra would get maybe 19-20 at best on the hwy.

long story short , the new ecodiesel gets 50% better fuel economy.. and Diesel and gas are the same price right now by me @ 1.99 a gallon.

love it so far , I will post back over the years , if it gives me troubles.

oh ya , my old sierra put out 365 ft pounds of torque at around 3500 rpms
the new diesel puts out 420 ft pounds of torque at 2000 rpms:icon_ goofy: should pull the toy hauler quite nicely..

I keep seeing people putting -1.5mm belt in their signiture and with my coop45 mod 3 and purple secondary spring my belt sits too high in my secondary. I can’t find these belts anywhere.
