Let’s do some Facebook!

Hey everybody. For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Jamey and I built this place. I don’t own it anymore…but the Grizzly is still my favorite machine by far. I was on my Facebook just now and was looking at all my wheelin’ friends on there and asked myself why I haven’t befriended my GC brothers?

First of all, lets throw a like to the Grizzly Central Facebook Page.

So now…I invite each and every one of you to add me as a friend if you want. Just click here and send me a message saying you’re from GC. I’ll befriend you.

Maybe more of you will post links to your Facebook too.

Finally, if and only if you want to…give Ricochet a Like by clicking here and then clicking Like on the page. That would mean a lot to us.

Polaris Outlaw 500 2006 Wont Start

Hello all,

This is my first post or thread and I feel it will be the first of many as I am somewhat a novice to atv repairs.

Backstory, the bike want not starting properly and I switched out the battery and still no luck. Tested the coils and they were fine but the spark plug needed to be changed and ta-da it started. Now its a week later and the bike will not start once again. I was able to boost the bike and it started but once it stopped it would not start again. Trickle charged the battery and I am getting 10.6v so the battery seems ok even though a little week.

I am at a loss here, what is the next step with this bike because I am about to run it off a cliff if I cant keep this thing working. So is it the starter, solenoid, voltage regulator or what and how do i figure it out.

Well long winded but hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

Belt and cv joint inspection

Looking for help in inspecting the belt and front outer cv joint on my 2011 500 ho.

The belt appears to be original and has 3000 miles with oversized tires. There was no noise or loss in power. It measures 1 1/16" wide. Should it be changed?

The cv joint was making noise when you turn sharply. The boot was fine but it didn’t have enough grease. It turns freely and doesn’t appear to be broken or loose. Can it be liberally greased and reused?

JD Buck 650 rough idle.

I can’t get my buck 650 to idle well. I replaced the fuel pump thinking its sucking fuel through the vaccum line. I have also cleaned the carburetor thoroughly. However, when I remove the vaccum line from the fuel pump and let it suck more air through the opening, it idles just fine. Seem like its running rich at idle? I have tried the idle screw with no luck as well. What would I be trying? Thanks!

What IF

I’m not as paranoid of this as some people are but was wondering if anyone has thought of this. Their has been talk going on for years about what would happen if this country was hit with an emp attack. We have our atvs and some here have carbs and some have fuel injection like me. What could the people here do their fuel injected atvs to prevent them from being effected. Just a thought that crossed my mind and wondered if anyone else had ever wondered about it.

2012 sportsman hot check engine problem

Hi everyone. I have a 2012 sportsman 500 and the hot check engine has been flashing. This very fast after starting even when the engine is cold. While riding it will come on and off multiple times and then it stops. When I unplug the temperature sensor the fan does not come on but the fan has came on recently while idling for a period of time. Any help is appreciated!
