2011 grizzly 700 CV joint

Good morning everyone! I punched a small hole in my CV boot at the end of the season last year. Replaced it a few weeks ago and cleaned the joint completely while I was in there. When I pulled it apart I wasn’t smart enough to realize there where two sides to the cage and (spider?) I have already reassembled it the way I believed it went but now I’m second guessing my self.
Is it possible to assemble it wrong or do the parts only fit one way?
Here is a pic I took after cleaning. Does this look like the correct way for the parts? (Thinking of my hand as the cup it all sits into)
I was also wondering if the cup looks okay?

Thanks for any help!

Installing a new starter pulley

My 2014 Kodiak did not come with a recoil starter.I bought the kit from Yamaha and now need some thoughts on how to get the bolt out that holds the pulley on, without the engine turning over.I dont know if putting it in gear is a good idea or not.Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Little Help From The Community

Ok let me first start off by saying I am not a huge fan of deep water/mud riding. I have been in a few situations however that ended up a little sketchier than I anticipated.
15 Scrambler 1000 (100% stock – minus tires and some heated grips/thumb).

Problem:
When getting into water around the height of my wheels, I always end up having to pull the drain plug due to water in the belt. Having said that, it’s always after crawling through. If I head through quickly I never seem to have a problem.
This has happened on 2 or 3 occasions now.
Does the belt housing need sealed better or what is going on there?

Thanks in advance.

Can Am Customer service told me to bad and hung up on me ????

OK heres this story you guys arent going to believe this ill start from the beginning. I bought an outlander max 2015. I have it 8 months factory warrently ran out in feb i have the best warrenty till like 2018.

So anyway things happen I understand that. The quad has been to the shop once a month or so since i bought it some time once every two months. the problems Ive had are listed below

#1 when cleaning and greasing i found loose nut pinched between the skit plate and winch frame on the 10 hour service they couldnt not find where it belonged.
#2 Acceleration and Decceration the CAN AM clunk which is normal apparently
#3 Tires cutting down left and right complained about the quality of the fatory tires which I ended up putting better tires on no problem it happens’
#4 Solioniod for the winch burned up after being used to plow for 5 minutes
#5 Ignition Switch started working intermittingly the had to replace it
#6 Belt showed unusual wear with like 40 hours on it , quad is babied ridden properly in low and hi and never seen deep mud and or water basically never clubbed it.
#7 Whine in CVT when in park and neutral that it never made before they replace the belt took it up told me it was normal even though I know it was not there
#8 4 Hours on the new maverick belt and when i gave it gas something blew apart in the case sounded like the belt the slapping but the weird thing was i was able to make it home almost like something ceased on and off a bearing or something.

its at the dealer now so i guess ill find out what number #8 is this week. Now my dealer is very good they do go the extra mile and in no way is this there fault. this machine has been hexed since day one. I taked to the owner about a buy back. I had a grizz for 2 years never a problem or a noise. he said theyll look at it and we will sit down. Like i said really good people have been great to me.

In the mean time i said to myself ill call BRP let them know whats going on got some gentleman explained the multiple problems told them im not satisfied with the quality of the is ATV the there supposed to be the best in the market told him the above that its in the shop more then being used. Told him i was interested in info on a buy back and until something small or large is done im not picking the atv up.

He told me BRPs policy to to fix first. I was very nice not cocky said listen im not happy with the machine you guys need to talk with the dealer and seee whats going these machines arent meant to have all these problems. he told me again it needs to go to the dealer. I told him again its at the dealer and as of right now they could keep it. I said I payed 10,500 for a reliable machine and so far that is not what i recieved. Now here come the bomb he sorry there is nothing we can do for you !!!! lol I said please let me talk to your supervisor he hung up on me when i asked that. I couldnt believe it called back and he must have been the only call taker there an a saturday it kept ringing and ringing he must have got the call picked it uop didnt say anything and rehung up on me. THIS IS THE WAY CAN AM AND BRP STANDS BEHIND THERE QUALITY. I was polite the whole converstion never got loud once

What to know on the 525

I am interested in a 525, I have read up on here about them, but what do I really need to look for when looking at one. Are all years the same pretty much?

Do I really want the irs for trail riding? I have never had irs before, but it looks like a lot of extra parts that will wear and break compared to the straight axle. Does one handle a big butt better than the other?

How do these machines hold up?

For a little background, I am on a Sport 400 right now. I have had Banshees, Scrambler 500’s, even a 350l 4×4.
