Gas in my Transmission.

I recently bought a 98 scrambler 400 and decided to change all the fluids. When I changed the tranny, gas came flooding out. I filled it with tranny oil and drove it again and checked it, still to find more gas in it. I recently rebuilt the carb and put the lines to where the other owner set them. I was hoping you guys could send me a diagram of the carb that shows me where the lines are supposed to go. I think the gas is getting into the transmission through the vac line from the bottom of the carb. Any input would help.
-Thank you

Hello, all. Found this forum while looking for answers to my 2003 Sportsman 500 H.O.’s charging problem, looks like a fun place to learn lots. Use mine to plow snow when necessary, haven’t had it on a trail, yet. Just looking for reliability-that’s what SHE said! lol

570SP – ADC not working

Hi all,

My ADC stopped working this weekend. Engaged it and I noticed the AWD indicator did not come on until I hit the gas to go up a hill. Didnt think anything of that, thinking maybe I was not remembering correctly. Went up the hill, and then when I came back down the ADC did not kick in. I tried it in Low and it seems to work, but not in High. Strange!

Anyone else have this problem? It seems really odd that low gear + ADC works when High gear + ADC does not. And the AWD indicator not coming on seems to be unusual. I’ll be reading up on this more over the week but wanted to get a note out here to see if there were any others with similar experiences and or advice. Do you think there would be any codes if I go into service mode?

The ADC is what convinced me to buy the SP model and I am totally bummed about this!

Thanks!

Kodiak Top end and Climbing loss of power

Hay Guys, Looking for some help trouble shooting my 2004 Kodiak 400 4×4.
Last ride out it was puttering and loosing all power while climbing hills.
On flat ground and in neutral it starts, idles and runs great, until the throttle is maxed and it will putter and choke out making me think its a carb or air gas mixture problem.
this is my wife’s Bike and she says it has slowly been getting worse over the past few rides.

So far I have ran ATV gas treatment and changed the spark plug with no change. If I tear into the carb what do I need to look for other then basic dirt and grime? I also installed a UNI air filter a few years back and didn’t notice a problem but have been reading how they may provide too much air?

Also just to check it out I opened up the Cvt and the Belt looks good, no cracking and thickness is fine. Primary and secondary are a little dirty but nothing major. (I don’t mud my Atv’s).

Are there any other components I should be looking at for this problem?

Thanks for any info.
