300ex cylinder

I just recently broke a cylinder sleeve and jacked up my piston. I have a 74mm piston kit laying around can I order a 74mm cylinder sleeve and be set or is there a specific size over 74 by a wee bit I have to get for a 74mm piston?

Polaris 700 EFI shifting trouble

I have a 2005 Polaris 700 EFI that shifts loosely.
(It is not necessarily in gear when it says it is, and I sometimes have to rev it up to get it into gear.)
I took off the side cover where the shift lever would insert into the transmission and all the little gears in there look ok.
But it just seems like it should shift tighter.

Any thoughts anyone?

What’s it worth?

Got a 2015 XMR 800 I’m considering selling. 790 miles, 140 hrs. I feel like people look at these models and automatically think they have been abused. The wife would really like a side by side, and I have two other quads. only mods besides the reupholstered arctic cat seat are a V-Force John team industries primary and a stm tuner secondary. I have considered keeping the clutches, as they would be a nice addition to the commander that would likely replace it. My question is what do you guys think it is worth? I was thinking $9,500 – $10,000 without clutches, $10,500 – $11,000 with. Am I off my rocker?

ACE 900 – Quality From Factory?

Anyone have issues with new machines from the factory?

Picked up my ACE 900 SP on Thursday evening. Saturday and Sunday were spent accessorizing the machine. Front and back brush guards, winch.

When I went to the rear of the machine to install the rear brush guard I noticed quite a bit of thread showing on the nuts that hold the rear suspension to the frame. Upon further inspection BOTH left and right nuts (seen in the below pic) are completely loose!

Contacted the dealer, they are going to take it back and do a once over, but was really disturbed to hear the bolts are factory installed and not part of the dealer assembly. This is a potentially serious and dangerous way to send a unit out of the factory, lets not talk about what could have happened had I not noticed and been out on a remote trail or stressing the machine.

Really dissapointing was my call to Polaris who tells me they can’t do anything for me or even allow me to speak to a supervisor until the dealer submits a warranty claim on it. Not sure what I really expected from Polaris, but at least permitting me to speak to someone other than the guy who picked up the phone who had to leave to ask a supervisor what he was telling me would have been nice. A little customer sympathy would have gone a long way here. I mean I can speak with a supervisor when there is a screwed up $5 Amazon order!

But the real damage they have caused is more personal, its not often I buy a new machine and now I feel like – "The Polaris QA at the factory is so poor my unit is falling apart cause it was not put together properly and it has not even touched the dirt yet?!?!?"

And while my personal damage is probably the exception, rather than the rule. Just kinda sucks to be the exception.

So will see what happens, looking forward to opening a warranty case on my brand new unit with less than 20 minutes on it.
