pred 500 carb mod (again)

Hi all!
Sorry in advance as I know this has been dragged up a few hundred times, and I’ve done a lot of research and searching already. I’m fitting a dynojet kit to my 04 500, It has a direct bolt on k&n, slip on exhaust. I am probably going to drill the slide holes bigger, maybe even drill the other side as well but not sure. The BIGGEST dilemma i have is cutting coils off the slide spring, most people talk of having 28/29 coils and cutting a few off until its 3 1/8 long, But my 04 has about 38 coils! and is approx 4ins long, anyone else come across this please?

No Spark.

06 Outlaw 500,
No spark,replaced coil and plug, nada.
Cleaned kill switch compartment, nada.
Battery good, turns over fine.
Before putting huge amounts of money into new electrical parts
thought I would ask everyone their ideas.

Picked up new project – 2002 Honda Rancher 350 4×4

Found this beauty on a farm. Plastics are in good shape but the kid wrecked the swing arm trying to replace the bushing. I need a swing arm, and rear rims and tires. Diff, brakes, hubs, and axel is all there. 350 bucks.

Which swing arms would be compatible for this unit? Anything else I should be checking, I haven’t owned one of these before He said it hasn’t run in a year and the brakes don’t work at all.

Got an air cooled machine. I noticed in manual 2 head and 1 tail light add up to 55watt.

With factory alternator/generator, what’s the max output?

I’m curious how large of electric fan I can add if not running lights? I have a few 4" 12v DC brushless computer case fans.

Depending how much output, Im thinking of wiring a couple in front of the head/jug.

Brake issues, 1990 Trail Boss 2×4

I am having an odd issue with my wife’s Trail Boss. I am having poor brake performance. The handle is rock hard first pull, every pull, but I don’t seem to get good stopping power. Tonight I noticed I could pull it hard and lock up the left front, don’t think I ever got the right to lock. I can stand on the foot brake and lock the rear up easily. I haven’t ever the brakes on this bike because it had always had a tight pull. I am wondering about a possible restriction causing the issue. Does that seem plausible? Any help is appreciated!
