QSC Clutch kit questions

Got the quad back from its first service, front differential replacement, and clutch kit install.
It is much harder to pull up in the bed of my truck now, and f350 with a 6 inch lift… makes it pretty spooky. What I do have questions about is engagement, it is suppose to engage at 2000rpm with the shim that was installed, seems to be more like 2600ish. Also the quad will hit the limiter on wet pavement, normal? Lastly, if I try to move at any pace in reverse, it will hit the limit when not using the override for reverse. Is all of this normal?

I have hit 75 with it, so I do not feel the top end was lowered at all, and even wet the front tires tried to touch the clouds on any type of hard acceleration under 15-20. It was always wicked fast, now it just feels more aggressive, will line it up with the rest of my riding partners Saturday to see what the real world differences are.

Need advice on A arm removal

Have to replace front axles on my baby. Can’t get balljoint to break free from A arm. Anyone have any tips? Had same problem when I was putting lift on and just ended up leaving it attached. This time I really need to detach these parts for axle removal. Thanks in advance

Grease in Rear Diff?

Anybody running grease in their 420 rear diff? I recently read a thread on Highlifter forums from about 4 yrs ago where guys were running grease to keep water out the rear diff. They had inserted a grease zert to be able to add grease.

2000 350 Rancher ES shifting problems

Okay my 2000 honda 350 rancher es is stuck in reverse, but before then It was acting like it didn’t want go into gear you could hear it when you hit the up shift when in neutral but after so many times it will catch, once i get it in gear everything is good & running, then also the neutral light will blink like 3xs when I hit the up shift tryna go into gear, I have used the manual shifter a couple of times now it won’t let me shift with that, I replaced the angle sensor
Felt like I wasted 74 bucks on that

My experiences with Grizzly 700 clutch mods

Hey everyone. i just thought I would post this as I am seeing lots of questions about clutch mods lately, including my own questions.

So i just finished doing my clutch mods. Very happy with the result after lots of research and time.

History of my experience.

Old Grizzly – 2009 Grizzly 700
– 1.5 mm shim
– 4 450 weights.
– 28" zillas
– $50 bucks

Mods, 1.5 mm shim and 4-450 weights every other weight.
Very snappy response. I was thrilled when I first did this. It worked great and cost only about $50 bucks. I did loose about 6 mph top end. I had 28" zillas and the grizzly was very responsive. In High I had all the power I wanted. Would recommend for those on a budget.

New Grizzly 2013 Grizzly 700.
– Coop Mod #3
– Purple spring.
– 18 g weights from 660
– 27 Mega Mahems (they came with atv so didnt get to chose my tires. I would go with Zilla’s again in a heartbeat.)-
– $210 bucks

I sent my outer Shiev to COOp to get his Mod 3 done. When I got it back I was disappointed at first. I put a purple spring in and had just the coop mod. Turns out I put it together not quite right. More about that below.
When I got it in correctly had more low end power, but not enough to counter the tires. After adding the 18 g weights it was much better. Similar to the mods of my 09 grizzly but power is much more stable and shifting smoother. Will pick front end up. I could always use more power and snap, but it will do for now. I wish I could buy more different weights and play with it even more, but dont want to spend more at this point.
If you have larger tires, go with 18g weights, you will not regret it. It is still sluggish with just the Coop #3 mod.

I also have the same top end which is nice for the days when I trail ride. $$210 invested + time.

Grizzly clutch notes.
As many people pointed out, no Impact Guns. I used one to loosen and probably should not have.
DONOT USE a ratchet strap. Make a vice for the primary/secondary out of wood and threaded rod. Works much better.
USE A TORQUE WRENCH.
Watch videos on assembly and re-greasing.

Im sure I am forgetting something but hopefully it will help some people decide what to do.

2007 Sportsman 500 EFI starting problem

Have a Sportsman 500 EFI HO that has recently developed a starting problem. Can hear the fuel pump, a strong click when the key is turned … but no starter. Thought it was the battery at first because when I put on a battery tender it showed charging and then would start for a while. This time the battery shows charge when plugged into the battery tender.

Does start with the recoil starter. Takes about three pulls. Never used it before this event … surprised me when the beastie actually fired up!

What is best way to determine if is the starter solenoid or the starter?

Many thanks guys!

some bear pic’s

OK here are a couple pic’s more off my back deck cam
I have hanging bird feeders above, that well, the bears cannot reach, BUT they come looking all the time, HOPING they can!
there about 12 ft high on pully systems, bears have YET to figure out, NOT even squirrels have gotten to them!! a task NOT easy to do! LOL

the birds do drop some seeds they lick off the deck, but not many

these are 3 different bears, biggest is a older male about 500 lbs, been coming her many many yrs, he has a rather black nose as to the other two, other two, one is a male about 300 and other is a female about 300, and she has 2 cubs with her now since last spring
date on cam is WRONG< camera lost its brains and won’t hold a correct date, even though its set right and show right date on setting???
OLD cam seen a LOT of use, couple hundred pic’s a week 24/7 for past 8+yrs now

and NO< I never have any bear damage here, yet have bears in the yard a few nights a week or more, most of the yr!!! LOTS of bears in my area
we coexist rather well here! and glad we do!
