….on my first trip to Busco Beach this weekend I got all up in that PEANUTBUTTER mudd , time to winch with my new Terra 35 , then this happens , lights flickering almost cut off , no power , im fairly certain its the battery, had the tender on it a full day n night before we left, was dead when we got there …. couldnt even pull out my buddy in a recon … Soooo , OPINIONS on batteries for a 450kodiak motor ??? Best brand ??? for winching of course ….

I’ve previously owned a Polaris 700 Sportsman and a Polaris 850 SP sportsman. I now have an ACE 570 SP and have sold both Sportsman. Thinking back I believe that I added the additional front storage capability to each of the Sportsman. Today while in the attic I found what I believe is the storage box lid that I must have taken off when I added the additional storage to one of those machines. I hate to just throw it away, and would prefer to pass it along to anyone who can use it, but I’m not sure which machine it fits. Can anyone tell me how to find which machine it goes to?

So I bought this 91 trx250x from a buddy for 100 bucks. He has redone the top end and put the top end, timing chain and clutchcover together, but everything else is still not together. All the cables are not hooked up missing some bolts on cover and no brackets to hold cables. I got all brackets and every bolt on the engine to this motor from ebay and then some. My question is do any of you have pictures or can explain which cable goes where and where do the brackets, cable holders, attach to. I checked timing, is good, but I also dont know if he did valve clearance or not.

He guys,I want to change the oil in my tranny so I want to remove the floorboard.I removed the 6 bolts and all the push pins but it won’t come off.Do I need to remove all the plastics?2014 550 sportsman touring eps.Thanks.

A couple of months ago I started my 2005 kodiak 450 to help me with cleaning snow out of my driveway. It was cold so I had to start it with the choke on. I was shoveling snow while it was warming up when I heard it start sputtering. I couldn’t make it back in time and it eventually fouled the plug and I couldn’t get it restarted. I tried for a while until it eventually backfired and I left it alone. I didn’t attempt to start it again for a couple of months. I replaced the spark plug, drained and replaced the fuel, but I still cant get it to start. It has spark and when I open the drain on the bottom of the carburetor fuel runs so I assume it is getting fuel. I even tried starter fluid and nothing!

Just wanted to share a pic of a turkey I got yesterday. His beard went 5" and it was my second day out this season. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.

Hello all just bought a 16 outlander 570 and have about 11 hours on it now. I changed all the fluids at 10 hours and have some questions. I have the typical clutch engagement clunk but was wondering about engine noise. I’d say about 3500-4000 rpms probably about half the time I get a ticking knocking noise in acceleration. Sounds like it coming from the right side of the engine. Is this normal? Could it just be older gas? I get my gas from our farm tank. Might be 3-4 months old. I do get kind of a thump from the clutch side at idle which I’m assuming is the belt flexing. Could the belt clutch noise just be resonating? Is this an item of concern? Thanks in advance!

Question for anyone who can answer it. We have a 2000 400EX that we have been working on for the past 2 months. We have had everything from a weak spark to a stretched timing chain. All of that has been fixed. During the troubleshooting process we rebuilt the carburetor and now it is very hard to get running, and when it does finally fire and start, half throttle is needed to keep it going. Sometimes it will smooth out and you can ease off on the throttle, but when this happens it will pick up RPM and just die almost like it is starving for gas. It is almost like someone turned the petcock off. I have taken the carburetor apart and am soaking in lacquer thinner right now. Where should I focus my attention on to fix this problem? Thanks in advance. Also, I did buy a carburetor rebuild kit and installed new parts.
